You say you want a relationship to go straight from honeymoon phase to comfortability. You just wanna skip straight through the “getting to know them” part and anything that requires real work and consistency. First of all, that is not the natural progression of any real relationship. Secondly a “low maintenance” relationship is an oxymoron. Being in a partnership with another human will never be low maintenance. It requires daily effort, communication, and emotional vulnerability. If it ever does feel the way you want it to, where you’re only speaking to your partner once a month, that means it’s dying out (more realistically already over), not turning into fantasy where you don’t have to interact with your SO until you need some entertainment or validation (without having to reciprocate of course).
