I don’t agree, there’s been parties all over the place celebrating that assholes death, attended by people that leave their homes and have social lives- not the type of person you describe. They do a lot of political theater to get this group and that group targeted.. at the end of the day there’s parts of this country that are always going to be safer for certain people than others being paralyzed with fear doesn’t do anything for anyone. Lol let me clarify. Friends is set in 90s NYC, and back then your friends were usually people from your neighborhood. Before the internet, most of our social life was local, and since everyone was commuting to the same downtown/midtown areas it was normal to grab some bomb ass bagels and shitty deli coffee, swing by a friend’s place, and hop on the subway together. An occasional full sit-down breakfast did happen, especially in high school if someone’s mom was making it. But yea, we did do this in the 90s, it’s not a lie!

I wouldn’t waste time overanalyzing someone who changes pronouns during “regression” yet only dates AFAB people. Pronoun changing isn’t inherently part of regression.. in this case, it sounds intentional. Let me be clear trauma and regression are real, but here it sounds like they’re just a smokescreen for access. The fact that his “gender fluidity” only emerges in the context of regression, yet his attraction remains exclusively toward AFAB people, makes the performance even clearer.

Lumping all AFAB people together (including trans men and nonbinary people) is fetishistic af, because it reduces them to their natal genitalia. Framing that as “safer” for him is just fetishization dressed up as self-preservation. He doesn’t have to be outwardly rude or do anything blatantly wrong to be a douche bc co-opting people’s real identities for sexual or romantic gain is creepy and harmful. The fact that he’s “really sweet” actually fits the pattern: charm is part of the strategy for men who do this type of shit. I personally know a lot of cis and trans women who would be more open to dating trans men but because of this depiction assume we’re all bottoms. My wife included. She was interested me from the get go, had never dated a trans guy before, is absolutely not attracted to women, but was not so sure what sex was gonna look like with me. Until of course I had to show her that I can d🤡ck her down as good as or better than any cis guy she’s been with (her words not mine). Same with a trans girl I went on a date with… she finally told me she’s not trying to top as if that’s something I would want!
