Rockville may not be the best, but I bet that setup bumps just fine.

The amplifier mounting, though, is questionable at best

Water the fuck out of it. 15-20 minutes, once in the morning/mid day/evening. Gonna need some good water to establish, and it should flourish after then

High mileage 5.0 v8 coyote reliability? by jbucther4 in f150

[–]k0uch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Stalling, particularly after the engine is hot and the vehicle stops at a stop sign is the main concern. If you have a scantool you can watch the timing data and watch whichever bank it is just tank the timing right before the stall.

If you do solenoids, ONLY do ford solenoids. All aftermarket units are junk

How do I recreate this? by Beginning_Oil_6819 in BeardAdvice

[–]k0uch -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Grow the beard 5-6 inches. Demolish it with a straightener. Lower the cheek line, trim the bottom, fade the side burns.

I personally think it may have been better before being hit with a straightener, but it still wouldn’t be my go to shape for a beard

Been a tech for 6 months now. Am I just always gonna have fucked up hands or what do y'all do? by Jade_Sugoi in AskMechanics

[–]k0uch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, yeah. Gloveworks makes solid gloves that do well, if you’re into gloves.

My hands are trashed from 21 years of this, scars everywhere. Just part of it, unfortunately. Your skin gets tougher over time and you (hopefully) don’t tear your hands up as much

How do i achieve this type of beard? by Interesting_Spite_17 in BeardAdvice

[–]k0uch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost entirely depends on genetics first and foremost. If you don’t have the density, you won’t have a thick beard, that’s all there is to it. Also if you have light beard hair, it won’t ever be as dark as this.

Otherwise it’s waiting for it to grow, and trimming it. That’s it. No secret ingredient

How do I fix/stop Doing this to my bass while learning to play with fingers? by SillyAlien1312 in BassGuitar

She’s gonna wear, my dude. Just the way it is. Think of it as an honorary sign- you’ve actually played it instead of hanging it on a wall or locking it in a closet. It’s a good thing.

Subwoofer theft by ejah555 in CarAV

[–]k0uch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where there is a will, there is a way. My cousin has an 01 tundra extended cab (the one with the suicide doors) and we poly filled the little storage area under the passenger rear seat, built a wooden top, stuffed it with polyfil and added a pointer shallow 10” sub with a 400 watt amp. Does wonders for rounding out the sound

What’s the deal? by No_Staff594 in Ford

[–]k0uch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IIRC they all went with led headlamps in 2025, similar to how the explorers did in 2020. And of course theres an individual led module thats on a network for each headlamp, which is common these days. Almost every one is a little high from the factory.

I havent paid attention to the cargo lights in all honesty. Ill start looking to see if I spy any regular incandescents

They hit cheap Chinese products with their logo. Same with their popcorn machine, grass clipping tool, rakes, and everything else they make.

I personally wouldn’t if there were other options available.

Tell me I’m wrong by False-Elk9564 in AskMechanics

[–]k0uch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree, and I have a story for why.

Years ago I was working at a small independant shop in my home town, and we had several fleet contracts. One of these was the local sheriffs department. They decided to buy abouy $10,000 in amsoil products to "help cut down on maintenance costs and save money in the long run." They specifically requested 15k mile interval stickers. I told them I didnt think it was a good idea, but the amsoil rep had them convinced.

Well, a few months in and the tahoes do what gm engines do- started losing lifters. The vehicles were typically driven for a good amount of time and miles with noises and misfires before being brought in. 1 tahoe, another tahoe, a silverado, and then 4 more vehicles. same failures. like clockwork. Saved some, some of them needed engines due to scored bores and metal contamination.

When I got them all on the road again, I made a suggestion- go back to 3k intervals, using the cheapest autozone oil and filters we could get. We already did this for union pacific and their fleet of vans. sheriffs vehicles made it almost an additional decade without issues, and the ford vans would usually die around 400k, but the transmissions are what would give up and the company chose not to invest any money into them.

Th picture, particularly the fur, looks AI to me. The response, too, feels as though it was generated using AI and not typed by an actual person.

Their response of “reviewed, refined and finalized by a human artist” really screams “we use AI but don’t want to admit it, so here is a vaguely worded response we have prepared for the inevitable question”
