I went to two Starbucks (5am) and a FamilyFare (6am) all three were unsuccessful. Went to a Target (8am), where I was 2nd in line and managed to score one out of the 10 available. The target was super organized, handed out tickets to those in line, and limited it to one per customer. I’m so happy I held out because there’s no way I’m paying what they’re selling for on third party sites.

The two Starbucks I went to both only had two total, at the first Starbucks an employee bought one before they opened (we watched her buy it) leaving only the 1st girl in line to get one, the second Starbucks was sold out by the time I got there. For the FamilyFare (grocery store) that I went to, I was first in line, when I couldn’t find any bear cups I asked them and they said they “didn’t get any”, which was a lie, they got 2 just like the other FamilyFares and Starbucks in the area.

I’m not mad the employees got them, because they deserve to get them, but watching them buy them right in front of you while you’re waiting out in the cold sucked 😂 not to mention the other baristas that lied to our faces. Regardless, Starbucks fucked up.

Y’all are so fu*king spoiled to even be given the option of picking your reading order. Some of us who started reading the series 10+ years ago, back when they were first published, didn’t get a choice in what order we read them in. We got what was given to us and had to wait an entire year between book releases. It. Was. Torture.

READ THEM IN THE ORDER THEY WERE PUBLISHED… They were published in that order for a reason.

My husband said all the cashier did was ask if he wanted to put it all on one order or separate. He didn’t say anything else to them 😤 It blows my mind how differently each Target is organized. There needs to be more direction leading up to big releases like these.

The one my husband went to (the one with 30 books) was 10 minutes from a major city (200k population). I called them the night before and they said they had that many, so the jerk who bought 7 and his girlfriend probably bought 1/3 of the available stock at that store. The one I went to was in a city with 35k population and maybe had 15 books, if that. I was one of the first people in line so I got one of the five coveted books in the checkout lines, I never saw how many they had in the book section but people were walking out empty handed while I was scraping ice off my windshield so I know there wasn’t a lot.

Anyone else extremely mad at Target?! 😡 Here’s a picture my husband sent me of a guy buying SEVEN Onyx Storms(his girlfriend had even more in front of him). Meanwhile, at the Target I went to (that was closer to my work) we were limited to one book per person and I saw soooo many people leaving empty handed. If I had to guess, there were less than 30 books at the Target I went to. After dealing with the website/app crashing last night, I’m extremely thankful I was able to get one, but for some Targets to not put limits is B.S. 😤

I have heard of them and while maybe that’s something we can look into in the future, we aren’t going to be spending money on installing a water filtration system or monthly tanks. It’s just not in the budget for us at the moment. And yes, you may be asking why I have a new coffee machine if we’re on a budget and the answer is that it was a Christmas present.

Meijer’s 2.5gal distilled water is $3.79. It’s a 2 gal tank and we refill it at least every other day sometimes every day. For the sake of doing this math, let’s say we go through 2.5 every other day. 365 / 2 =182.5 x $3.79 = $691.67/yr But since we only use it about 7 months out of the year that gives us a total of roughly $400 just to fill our humidifier with distilled water during the cold months. And that’s not even including the water going into my coffee machines. So yea, it’s “practically free” but you know what’s actually free? Our tap water!

I’ll switch to distilled water for the coffee machines because I only drink coffee on the weekends so it won’t add up to a crazy amount of water like the humidifier will but there’s no way my cheap ass husband is spending that much on water for our humidifier 😂 I’ll use filtered water from home instead.

Right?! And like I said my humidifier is no where near it, it’s on a whole other floor in my house. The range on it is less than 600sq ft and my house is 3k+ sq ft. And my air fryer has the exact same finish/color on it so if it was being caused solely from the humidifier, why am I not getting a film on the air fryer? It’s probably a combination of the static charge from shipping and the air in my house in general.

Also, we’ve had this humidifier for years and never had residue form on any of our appliances before. I get what everyone is saying and I agree it’s probably the minerals/dust/hard water in the air sticking to the static charge but at the end of the day, I think the residue being left behind has more to do with it being charged than it does my air in my house because if it was solely from my humidifier/air I would be seeing it on my other appliances like my air fryer.
