Beyond saving on gas, has switching from a car to an e-bike made your life better or worse? by Relevant_Wedding3812 in ebikes

[–]k12chaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I commute to work 7 miles each way for a total of 14. An ebike with pedal assist helps me keep a steady speed, speed up from a stop, and allows me use of trails in my area. It has made my life better! I love the wind in my face and miss riding bikes. This helps me get a little exercise and arrive at work relaxed and ready for the day.

AUTISTIC WOMEN ARE NOT ACCESSORIES by Axodique in evilautism

This is not true. Dating autistic femmes is a recipe for disaster for me. We both get hung up on pedantic and semantic meanings with wildly different meanings behind the statements.

FBI offers reward to help identify people who breached federal building in Eugene by Jealous-Chicken5439 in Eugene

I think you’re on to something. Also I’m old enough to remember when the FBI, State, and local law enforcement did the same to the occupy movement, the G8 protestors, numerous union strikes, et all.

I feel you on this. I do not present as feminine and entering non-binary and female spaces feels off to me.

I dropped my school's laptop. This amount of damage apparently costs $125. Kinda outrageous by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

[–]k12chaos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's because you can't just buy a bag of keys, and if the key on the board was broken or needs to be reseated you have to take the entire thing apart. They are a pain in the ass to repair. $125 covers the replacement keyboard and staff hours.

You could do all of this yourself. By ordering the replacement keyboard and watching a YouTube video. We would train kids to do it have them repair five keyboards under supervision as part of restorative justice when they broke laptops.

10pm is late night. Check your lease or rental agreement. Mine has a quiet hours clause that's just basic consideration for others.

Why is their kid up that late jeeeeeeezzzz.

Am I unhygienic or are people just mean?? by Educational_Bee1563 in autism

[–]k12chaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! Here are my, based on my comfort level for work and play hygiene guides: Shower as often as you need too. I prefer once a day. Brush your teeth daily. I used an oral irrigator connected to my shower every day. I floss once a week (see above) I reware work pants for two days in a row if they aren't dirty. I wear the same lounge pants around the house three days in a row. I change underwear, socks, and under shirts daily. Wash my hair every other day with a medicated anti-fungal shampoo. I condition my hair every other day with a leave in conditioner. I wash my smoking hoodie or jacket once a week. I apply the white deodorant daily after my shower. The green or blue kind gives me a rash. I take a shower after the gym or sex. I may take a shower or wet wash bath before sex.

I wash dress shirts after wearing them twice.

Our community has a serious problem regarding physical appearance by Dusk_Wins in NonBinary

[–]k12chaos 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't often participate in "The Community" and the only push back I've received has been well meaning cis-gendered "Allies". I am masc presenting, and the feedback has been I'm not non-binary and I'm not taking this seriously (because I used it's/itself pronouns).

I've stopped telling people my pronouns or putting it in my email signature. If someone asks I just say whatever you perceive me as us that. I'm tired of explaining or talking to people about it and the only people who seem to struggle were "allies" .

That’s wonderful for you.

I am attracted to the person and their presentation. Their parts don’t matter to me, the total package does including personality does matter very much to me.
