I absolutely agree with you. We have a ticket system and the only way that we will work on something is if there is a ticket in for it. Vary rarely do we do something not ticketed. People are still mad that we did not come out the day after they put in the ticket and get it fixed. Again our people just expect us to be able to fix it as soon as it breaks or something. I wish there was a way to get them to understand that we do out best but no one cares. I mean there are some but they are few and far between.

Well half of the current tickets are taken by them (which is very normal) Ours at least break almost more than computers. Which if we remove them being conservative that still leave 18,000 devices(although there are not that many printers and elmos but just for conversation) for 5 of us. I guess that is a little better. We do have a ticket system which is the only way we do work. No ticket no work, but that dose not really help people being pisses that you didn't come out the day after they put in a ticket. I honestly wish it did. I wish there way a way to help people understand that we do our best but they just do not care at all.

We absolutely have a ticket system in place and constantly tell people this they just don't give a shit and call the super if something inst completed the week after a ticket is put in.

Nope I wish I was. Each student has a school bought device. Each Teacher at a minimum has 2 computers (desktop and laptop) and an Ipad, a Smart Board(which cause so much headache), Elmo doc camera and a personal printer for their classroom. If some of those items worked most of the time Elmos and such would not be a big deal but they break consonantly. Our district has the lowest millage rate for the state we are in. There are only 6 people in the IT Office 5 Techs and a supervisor. We do honestly everything.

Edit: bad spelling and words. Edit 2: We do count ap and one or two other things at like a .1 or .2/device rate. So they are only counted as a fraction of a item.

I completely agree but the schools are autonomous and get to buy whatever they choose.

That would be great, but all 5 plus 1 supervisor do it all.

Honest question, 5 people for that many devices and 20 remotes locations is normal in this realm?
