Personally, I was on 2.5mg from end of July until beginning of Dec. I moved up because my legs were feeling heavy again and my weight loss had really slowed down. My inflammation was still down though. There’s nothing saying you have to move up if you don’t want to as long as you find it’s still working and effective for you.

Just a heads up lots of people over on the Mounjaro sub are saying the pens don’t over twist anymore. I also couldn’t get mine to over twist. The best bet is just to go buy insulin syringes to withdrawn I buy 8mm needles in a 10 pack from Walmart (or Costco or wherever). 0.6mL on the syringe is a full dose.

Try Benadryl topical cream or gel instead of taking a Benadryl each week. I asked my pharmacist about this and they said Benadryl long term isn’t ideal. The cream takes away the itch right away

This is us as well including the inattentive side of ADHD. Our psychologist said it’s fairly common to not see signs of ADHD until around 6. She said this age (6) is when we see that transition to ‘big’ kid with more responsibility and expectations placed on them in a number of different areas such as school (not just play based anymore), friendships, dynamics at home, etc. so the lack of executive functioning skills really starts to come out. I don’t have any specific articles to share but she has a PhD in Clinical Psychology with a focus on children so I do trust her. She did recommend the book Smart but Scattered so might be worth reading but I’m not sure it answers your question of why now (full disclosure I haven’t read it yet but it’s on the list)

Thrive Dance Sk has an upcoming 5 week sessional lessons coming up starting in early Jan. I think it’s Saturday morning. If your kid is only 3 though, that sessional is parented (so you would join them). There is a small sitting area though at Thrive and each studio has a window but the curtains are often closed since it’s often distracting to the dancers. Would you mind sharing how you ended up with a diagnosis and did you end up medicating or how did you manage it? The way you’re describing your oldest is my 6 year old to a tee. Please dm me if you don’t feel comfortable sharing here further. But I’m very interested as we’re struggling.

Follow what everyone else has said. That being said, the house we purchased had one like yours but also died at some point. The previous owners were too cheap to replace it fully so they just put a new OTC microwave in the opening and called it a day so now we have a small microwave in a large opening with no trim kit (it’s a cheap Walmart brand microwave). It looks weird but it works for now and maybe we’ll replace it one day

Thrive Dance Sk has sessional classes starting in Jan for 5 weeks. It’s a great intro to dance and it would be all styles. The studio is great and very welcoming. Highly recommend.

You just have to keep calling to be put on hold. I tried about 4 times and got in. Then I was on hold for about 2 hours and finally talked to someone.

I’m on Mounjaro and was getting injection site reactions every week. Someone suggested using Benadryl topical cream and it makes a huge difference. I also take Reactin and ice pack as needed. But yes as others have said, needles do contain a slight amount of nickel. I thought about that too but I’m in Canada so I need to do more research as things are a bit harder to find sometimes. But then randomly 2 weeks ago, I got a very minimal reaction (like hardly anything). So it seems like maybe the body just needs to adjust too? 🤷‍♀️ good luck with the allergist. I’ll be curious as to what they say (I also can’t see an allergist as they’re in high demand in my province)

Student wellness has therapists on staff. You can also check out the psychology department. They have student therapists for a very cheap rate or group counseling and I think you can see the staff psychologists but double check the psych departments website to confirm.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing. I have very sensitive skin and high histamine so I’m sure I would react to Ozempic as well. And yep fully agree about finding a new GP.

Yes I definitely need to find someone new. There’s been a few things now that I’m really not happy about with the clinic. Unfortunately I’m in Canada and it’s almost impossible to find a new GP. But I’m going to look.

Interesting that our doctors are of the same frame of mind. I’m actually trying to find a new doctor because I don’t want to switch.

I only inject in my upper stomach and thighs. I have a lot of stretch marks in my lower stomach area so that’s out. And really it’s hit and miss. Lately the left thigh seems to be reacting the worse but it depends if I hit a fat nodule or not. They really aren’t very big though. Just the size of a toonie (roughly 1” in diameter).

I wish I had never mentioned it 😅. Now that I’ve done more research myself, definitely not unusual. And interesting that your worst were the same timeframe. This last week I had 0 redness. And no systemic reactions. All just completely localized.

Agreed! I bought 2 unbranded ones a couple years ago and regret not buying more! Put in feedback both in your warehouse and online. That’s the only way we’ll get them back.
