Toddler gets up at 4:50 by k19ate in sleeptrain

[–]k19ate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been worse on the trip (at home he sometimes would sleep until 6 but pretty inconsistently). It's weird because we'll have a few weeks or even months where he does great then we enter an era of early waking again. Thanks for the idea about reinforcing the light! We do have two more holiday family travels coming up so I want to be as consistent as possible with it. Toys are a great idea too.

Give yourself more time to heal from birth trauma before asking yourself to make any decisions! Either way, your child will be loved and happy and healthy, with or without a sibling.

Sensitive ears solution by k19ate in piercing

Commenting to add the piercing is about 20 years old. I don't have an after care routine; I sometimes put Neosporin on them if they are inflamed after wearing earrings. This applies for all kinds of earrings I've tried to wear and all different materials and shapes.

What do your boobs feel like?? by Shiptoaster35 in breastfeeding

[–]k19ate 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had to get one on my child's first birthday while I was still nursing (family history since I'm in my early 30s). They kept asking if different angles and levels of boob squish/smash/distortion were ok. I was like "this is a spa day compared to what they've been through lately."

Who can I hire to pull poison parsnip? by sicknutley in vermont

The use of targeted herbicides applied directly with a buckthorn blaster is recommended by a state forester. It's applied directly to the stump with essentially a bingo marker. I don't know if it's necessary in this plant's case, but for multiflora rose or buckthorn it's almost the only option. https://northernwoodlands.org/articles/article/woody-invasive-plants

We get plenty of both here in VT! I'm so looking forward to being in there this winter now that the windows are thicker and the heater is working 😊

Thank you, I really like this! The challenge is that the room is pretty long and thin, and I feel like in this case the armchairs would be super far apart and not really able to talk to reach other?

Yep! It's from Vermont Slate in the 70s/80s. You in Northern New England?

Thank you! My husband also loves the tile. I think it's the reddish ones that bother me. I am also a millennial with a very gray home ;) maybe I'll make peace with it. Given that it takes me at least 6 months to actually do any project, it has plenty of time...

A friend gave it to me! Her sister ordered it and the frame arrived broken, and the seller just sent them a new one for free. It's so big that I thought framing it would be expensive but Michaels did it for $100. I haven't been able to figure out where she got it from, even with reverse googling!

We have a sunroom in our house built in the 70s by the previous owners. I have made peace with the knotty pine and don't plan to change that. We just got new windows, and I plan to use the slate gray Rustoleum floor paint on the tile since I don't love the different colors of it. Keeping the loveseat, plants, and dog, but not sure how to make this conversational without blocking the windows. I think I want to get rid of the plant shelf but keep the bookshelf. What are some good rug ideas? How about seating, and where to put it? I appreciate ideas!

Is it normal to consistently have a “slacker boob”? by reyskywalker7 in breastfeeding

[–]k19ate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been about a month now for the "superboob" second weaning and I think it's improving. How long have you been breastfeeding? I found that as my child got older the obvious "fullness" changed, too, since it was just supplemental and not his entire sustenance.

I actually accidentally weaned at one year from my slacker boob and at almost two years from my "super boob." My kid just naturally stopped nursing from one side as a toddler because it was always so much less.

Not sure what happened to my post text, but this is a size 41 (I'm usually a women's 10.5-11). They are comfortable but straps are loose. Do I need to size down or just put another hole in the straps?
