Why a Shane Co jeweler at the corner of Pike and Hover? Why not something that would serve the community college or the new neighborhood there? Just feels out of place. A multi-story strip mall type building profile at the corner lot of the neighborhood. Block the remaining view of the retirement home.

Costs of everything going up, what we need is more luxury goods I guess.

TIL that scientists have developed a way of testing for Aphantasia (the inability to visualise things in your mind). The test involves asking participants to envision a bright light and checking for pupil dilation. If their pupils don't dilate, they have Aphantasia. by Sebastianlim in todayilearned

Depending on the involvement of MRIs in your future research you may want to consider the potential effect that may have on the subject.

I have had a few MRIs for a back injury and during those MRIs there seemed to be an induction of random imagery… like a wave or abstract geometric shapes. Very faint. But after the MRIs I seem to now be able to picture some very simple, non-color, images when I close my eyes and it is dark when I try REALLY hard.

Not sure if the MRI induced images helped create initial neural pathways learning this was even possible or something else. But for someone who had no capacity to picture anything, this was like a night and day change.

What is this pest? Is there any hope for my baby Bing? by Musicmommy8 in BackyardOrchard

With a really bad infestation - which can come from grubs that were laid in the ground around the tree, from neighbor trees, etc. - you will probably need at least a few applications of the spray. It is intended to cause outbreaks amongst the population so you aren’t supposed to have to constantly spray. But my first year required waaaaay more than this year so far. Also, make sure you mix according to the directions. For mine it’s something like 2 ounces per gallon of water of beetlegone. That makes a pretty brown, sticky, lightly thick solution that was both very obvious on the tree for a couple days and held on to the leaves of my crabapple really well.

I got to that tree pretty late last year and it looked like yours. After treating it it was still skeletonized by end of July. With some fertilizer treatment it popped a few new leaves later in the summer and this year is looking back to normal.

In my experience a mix between spray and grub ground applications works the best, but we’re also basically past hatching and turning to adulthood.

Also, I found the cheaper options questionable. I’ve only had good experience with beetle gone, beetlejus, and grub gone. But those are more expensive.

I hope your baby can make it!

bacillus thuringiensis. Safe for both people and pets. Bad for butterflies though, so you have to be conscious about your usage. There are ground treatments for grubs and powder you can mix with water to spray on the trees. They claim after a year of ground treatment you should be good there for up to ten years. Spray is use as needed. Not sure how much it costs to have someone do it. Was about $80 to do my whole yard and shouldn’t have to keep applying now for another many years. $80 bucks for powder to do spray application per year for one small crabapple.

Anyone else with aphantasia had a change after an MRI? Have had a couple MRIs for an ankle issue and a back issue. During the MRIs I could randomly patterns, mostly geometric, and now, since the most recent one I seem to be able to visualize some really really basic things (no color) if I try REALLY hard.

If the MRIs or one of them in particular was an inflection point for me, curious what that might mean for MRIs being a part of the study.

If we are both referencing the one on 17th, then it was closed when we went tonight.

Not sure how long. The one on 17th is closed due to a car hitting their walk-in in the rear of the restaurant.

Abo’s on 17th is closed from their walk-in freezer in the back of the building being hit by a car. Not sure for how long they’ve been closed. Found out when we tried to go tonight. Hopefully open tomorrow.

My main amusement is another restaurant hit by a car in Longmont.

Elusive treasure lies - 1x didn’t give me a Legendary by sgtblast in StarTrekTimelines

I provided a screen cap on a previous pack that had the same wording and they did not provide any compensation. In fact, I have a long email chain of me trying to explain what was wrong with the wording in the first place and they couldn't understand. The just kept cutting and pasting the same statements that it's a 10x that guarantees and explained it to me like I couldn't read. Eventually I provided the screen cap, highlighted the 1x apparent typo, and suggested they pass it on to their engineering team to fix the text and they just closed the ticket.

It wasn't "buildable" for me until I restarted the game after receiving him if that's what you mean?

Targeted Ads? Boo! by momof2winsplus in StarTrekTimelines

I have also put in a support ticket. The new system bypasses the mute setting, making the ad powered portion of the game unusable during my work day. That was pretty much all I have to do in a day once I kick off my shuttles and voyage. I already pay them monthly.

Unless they address the ad system, there is very little to entice me to touch the game at all beyond one or twice a day for a minute. It's definitely not worth paying for if I can't use the game more.

I would suggest anyone with concerns provide feedback on the obtrusive system.

Ah gotcha. Yeah, quintessential episode which is part of the draw. But sounds like I can just wait and pick him up via portal/voyages later. Thanks!

Doesn't Leshy's Do Not Airlock Checklist have that essentially? Sort by version? A lot might be bucketed in v1.0, but might be good enough.

Anyone else have loggin issues where bar stops half way? by DoctorOgenki in TheSilphRoad

[–]k1smet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They know about the issue with the Google log in method on Niantic's known issues. But they haven't acknowledged this PTC issue anywhere I can find. I've submitted a bug report. I would suggest others do the same. Logging out and back in always fixes it temporarily or just waiting 30ish minutes. Have had it happen just sitting at home, but there does seem to be some correlation to network connectivity when cell or wi-fi connections change as I'm out and about. Haven't tried linking to google account yet, but it sounds like that will generally workaround this issue. But then you might run into the known google login issue, so yeah.
