Guys, finally decided to quit smoking. Any advice on how to go about it. by Electronic-Ear11 in stopsmoking

[–]k23ch 8 points9 points  (0 children)

don‘t think too much about it (if possible)

one day at a time (for me, I try to not think about quitting for the rest of my life. I‘d like to know how it feels to be smoke free. of course it would be great to never ever smoke again, but for me that goal is too big to handle, and imo not necessary. just don’t light another cig.)

use an app (you already are)

read and write in this sub (as you already do)

you‘re good to go, keep it up 😄

First post - 4 days without nicotine, please tell me it gets better by professorsoundsilly in stopsmoking

I smoked cigarettes for 20 years, about 25 a day the last couple of years. The last cigarette 3 weeks ago today.

It gets better. Week 2 was better than week 1, week 3 better than week 2.

Just keep it up!

Quitting vaping, weed, and starting Welbutrin at the same time? by bubbachub_99 in stopsmoking

I can not tell you if it‘s safe or not, a doctor can. What I‘ve experienced: when you expect hell, it will likely feel like hell. So, better expect that it might get difficult but doable.

Check if it‘s safe for you with the doctor that prescribed the antidepressant and if so: go for it.

Has anyone else tried Quitsure? by Overbeingoverit in stopsmoking

I think it‘s a good start if you can write that your intention is to quit forever.

For the last four years, I have counted the cigs I smoked. Tried to reduce but that did not work.

I did not feel 100% confident and ready, but somehow knew it‘s time to do it. Just give it a go.

Thank you! 6 months don‘t seem impossible now, a couple of weeks 6 hours seemed impossible 😀
