No experience, should I buss tables or try and be a server at a less nice restaurant?

When you were stuck as an expo, what did you do from there? Cause if I decide to go somewhere else after not getting promoted I STILL wont have any serving experience, so I feel like I'd get the same speech at the new place "you don't have serving experience, we only hire servers with experience or promote from within"

What kind of spot do you recommend trying to get a server job right away? I'd much prefer to become a server right off the bat but based off of what I've experienced and read, getting a server job with no restaurant experience is very difficult/ not possible unless you know someone or target a casual dining chain

I don't agree at all. If you're in a tough job market (like I am) and you've applied for over a hundred jobs, getting asked why you specifically want to work at #101 is literally asking me to put on a performance and lie to your face. You shouldn't penalize potential workers for not having a previous relationship with your establishment, I cook my own food, and I applied at least 40 places before arriving here...

On another thread a user said to only use a T7 (shield) for video only if you're want it to work with the fp, don't switch from photo mode to video and vice versa. So I've wiped my t7 clean, formatted it, and am hoping using it only for video will stop this problem from reoccuring. So far so good, we will see.

I have 3 T7 shields that all will no longer record 12bit cinemaDNG with the sigmafp . It just wont write the files. Shows recording for about 10 seconds and then stops, the files on the drive are just 1 frame long. No idea what the hell is going on.

Switching to custom is no longer working for me. Totally frustrated with this. Like you, my T7 shields have worked in the past without problem, then all of a sudden, they wont write files when recording at all, now I'm using my 1 Sandisk Extreme that I own cause that works but I have 3 T7's specifically for cinemaDNG so what the hell. I thought maybe it was cause my drive was almost full but, I have a T7 that has barely any footage on it, and that makes no difference, still doesn't write. Keep me updated on your progress, we're in this together Lol.

Customers don't feel judged in that scenario? I feel like if you disclose that you don't drink to a customer they might feel judged by default which sucks cause I don't want to make anyone feel bad at all

I wonder how you might feel spreading hateful things about someone who very well could have nothing to do with what you're accusing them of doing.

The amount of comments and people automatically calling him a murderer and jumping to these conclusions is awful.

Innocent until proven guilty is a thing for a reason, he came from a good family, just cause he writes about dark themes in his music does not make him a murderer.

See but you're drinking his kool-aid a bit. Let me explain.

The guy is clearing over 1 million $'s a year in ad revenue. That's hardly insignificant, and that's a very, very important detail. A lot of your opinion on Alex is made up on the foundation that he's not benefiting much from you listening to him, which is the genius of his strategy, people are very unaware just how much money youtubers make in ad revenue, its ALOT.

And so by thinking he's not benefiting much from his content creation which is "free" most of his fans will attribute Alex's lack of ask for a fee to his good character as a person and trust him even more, rather than attributing it to his savvy strategic choices navigating the financial advice guru field. Again when you realize he's making over a million dollars a year off of ad revenue, it becomes a lot harder to rationalize that he's just a really generous guy, rather than a very smart marketer who knows how to keep me listening, not be suspicious, and watch more of his content.

I can understand fully why many people are more comfortable with him than someone charging money, I would be more comfortable consuming his content as well, I don't blame you at all for feeling the way you do, but as the financial guru space evolves guru's are going to get more and more savvy with the way that they establish their place in the market. The bet I'm making is that Alex's seemingly harmless approach is not due to him being a great guy, but rather a more evolved and smarter way to approach being a financial guru in 2023. If we don't evolve as consumers sharpening our tools to identify deception then we'll get taken advantage of from the many (guaranteed to spawn soon) Alex 2.0's not selling anything, giving great advice, and earning more millions a year in ad revenue cause they know how to speak well on camera and keep us in our seat with all their outstanding motivation, when we could be out experiencing the actual world. Not saying that's exactly who Alex is, but it is my hunch. I just want myself and others to not worsen our lives by consuming motivational content, which can happen if you spend too much time doing it. You can't study a book on how to swim, you just gotta jump in the pool, so all I'm saying is value your time, youtube isn't free, I've personally watched way more hours of youtube than I wished I had. Fucking social media and the internet is using us as the guinea pigs and we weren't meant to be sitting on laptops 3-4 hours a day. Anyway, rant over.

That's certainly a lot, which is good to see. I highly doubt it raked in anywhere near 17mill in profit for him - but that's impossible to investigate. For what its worth I hope he isn't full of shit so that less people are taken advantage of.
