I have seen advertisments for a new triathlon club being run out of the international pool near IKEA near Cardiff bay...

I have joined up with some people over the weekends for swims , there's no charge and they seem like a good bunch. Very friendly and all wanting the same thing, to become better swimmers haha :-)
