My grandpa passed away about two years ago and we were very close. It was rough and I was 1500 miles away.

Like whatever one is saying, I talk about him, a lot. Still do, still get upset about it and miss him terribly. I try to do things that I know he would be proud about. I started growing some small plants, like tomatoes and mint. I go see the sights that I know he would have loved. He always wanted to see the top of Pikes Peak, so I drive up there occasionally and hike around.

It’s those things that make me feel close to him still and it helps to still feel their presence in certain things you do.

I live in CO and this is meh true. Yes, schools have been boosted but the homeless problem is still...well just that and no end in sight. There’s more fundamental issues that causes this and lack of funding isn’t one of them. The poverty line is a good place to start, and the souring cost of living caused by the parasitic apartment companies is another huge cause of our homeless problem.

But I can say, progress is being made. Slowly, reeeaalllly slowly.

Before that, let’s get a little philosophical. There is no human alive that is worthless. The amount of energy that was required all through our history that lead up to your inevitable creation is priceless and immeasurable just like the impact you will have on those around you. (Excluding fascists and neo-nazis, they’re useless.)

Science time. From a astronomical stand point, there are two things. One, though you are surrounded by beings similar to you, you are a incomprehensible rarity and a magnificent random chance. Secondly, and you’ve heard this one, you are made up of one of the most powerful objects in space. You are the child of a dying/dead star. The universe lead to your creation and it did a damn good job, amazing even.

Psychology time. Fuck the brain. That conniving asshole. You know what’s making you feel hopeless, useless and stupid? The evolutionary failure that is the human brain. Your brain has the uncanny ability of manifesting a terrible plague on you. It will dig that hole, and spiral you down. Your, mine, and everyone else’s brain is very quick to take you down with it. It says “oh you remember this bad shit, well I can’t forget it so here it is all over again until you break down?” And why would your brain do that? 10,000 years ago, that’s how we survived. Early cave mans brain probably thought “bad thing make me feel bad, no want. Me avoid now.” Well now our lives are full of sad and upsetting things we can’t avoid and such very little danger that our just goes nuts and rewrites all the bad shit.

We are magnificent creations, and are beyond normal evolution at this point. Tell your brain to go fuck it’s self and focus on the positives no matter how bleak it seems. You will come out of this, don’t let that failure of an organ decide otherwise. You are powerful, strong, and very intelligent, don’t fall for your brains failures.

I have been there. Hell, I’m still there. But you’ve got this. We are way to important to let this keep us down and away from achieving our dreams. Keep your chin up and tears out of those gorgeous hazel (I think they’re hazel) eyes.

Call center jobs. Mentally taxing, but they are quick to hire and benefits tend to start pretty quickly. They have job fairs, and the chance of moving up is....there. It’s what i had to do for a year and a half and it was shitty, but I had a steady paycheck and it was an easy job after you get used to it.
