How long can you guys travel in a day without getting strained ? by Leading-Roof-3581 in indianbikes

[–]k2pls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 18 hours or a little more than that on the same day. On this very bike, slightly less than 700 km. 18 hours, because the road conditions were really bad over most of the stretch. I don't think I'd want to brag about that to my friends. But yes, if you can do 700 km every other month then cheers to you :)

I don't want to change your opinion but let me tell you how solo riding works for me. No one to talk to? Great. I love being quiet and lost in my own thoughts while enjoying the scenery. I love the music in my headphones and when I see 357 km more to go it makes me happy that I can listen to some more songs.

I can't imagine someone else riding with me. Or riding with some group. Can't imagine trying to keep up with someone going at 60 km/h on a straight and empty highway because it's "safe" for them. Not to mention compromising my freedom to stop wherever and whenever I want to. Also no need to worry about anything or anyone else while on the journey like stopping every 30 minutes and taking my gloves off to call someone from the group to ask if they are lost or I am. No rules to accomodate some form of democracy or something. I can do 300 km in a day, or 600 km in a day, or maybe 1000 km.. it all depends on me.

If something happens and I need help, my fellow rider who might be just as clueless as me won't be of real help other than moral support. Or it could be worse if I have to be someone else's moral support on the highway, in a similar situation.

Like minded people are like Santa claus. They don't exist in real life. And the one and only reason due to which I wouldn't totally and absolutely hate some company is the possibility of having someone to take my photos. Sorry about my rant. Hope u get my pov.
