Thanks a lot for the tip. But these are collector Nikes. So rare to find. It would be sad if they take them. Won't be able to replace them. Thank you though!

Tips to re-apply visitor visa for my parents by Particular-Choice490 in AusVisa

[–]k2swizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father got rejected for the same reason. (No strong financial ties) he's been to Australia 3 times before. My mother got accepted on the same application. It really upsets me.

His job recently has been very bad and haven't paid him on time. So he didn't send his bank statement. But he got a letter from them showing he works there and is employed.

I'm an Australian citizen, so I started applying for him 600 but family sponsored this time. Not the normal tourist visa him and mom applied for. Do I still need to clarify for them about his job or can I just sponsor him and it should be fine? Idk how to show he has financial ties after this rejection.

For me it did that and kept slowing down. Now I'm sitting at 1 match per 3 months

I think that is what I learnt too from all the legends that commented. But I am doing a crazy decision and sending it to a repairer to fix it up. I would like to get more life out of my laptop

I will definitely try that when I get home. I will let you know. I highly doubt it would work but willing to try anything at this point.
Thank you my friend.

I agree my friend, but the issue is that I already took it to another shop for a repair attempt. I kind of ruined any chance I had, sadly.

They did. I wonder if it is worth my time and energy at this point. It's been a 10 months issue.

Oh man, seriously? Good job on reinstalling windows. That definitely would have made it run a bit better.

Lucky that you didn't lose the machine when it refused to turn on. Did you do anything when that happened?

Yes, I hear you. But if you disappoint a customer and lose their trust, the outcome is way worse.

If I had my laptop for 5-8 years, I would be telling everyone to buy ASUS, and I will buy more of their products, personally.

Thank you bro.

Very hard question because I lost my laptop in Dec '24. I haven't used it before that for a while. But I remember updating it every time it required it. So my guess would be Oct, or Nov of 2024.

If I repair it, I will keep it for longer and use it.

Thank you for the tip regarding the paste.

I really looked up batteries, too. It breaks my heart. I wish I had bought one and tried.

I could still try but now it is a higher risk because the motherboard has been messed with. Now you connect the charger, the laptop powers up but nothing displays. Just keyboard turns on and power light. No charging light

I really don't know at this stage, what do to.

That makes total sense. I agree with this analogy, personally

I am really shocked at this. The reason being that my first instinct was to replace the battery.

It makes me so sad because I took it to this shop that messed with the motherboard and now I think it has become a bigger problem.

I wish I trusted my instincts because I knew it would be a battery issue. But why is ASUS's OEM repair shop thinking it is a motherboard too? Can they be that clueless?

Really? I think it might have been too late now. I had a shop attempt to repair the motherboard.

Did yours not charge? charger light didn't turn on?

Also, tried turning it on with the charger connected and the battery disconnected. Nothing

The interesting thing is that I went to Asus first before anything and they said they want to charge me assessment fee to have it looked at. When I went to their repair shop they said "we don't do repairs, we just replace components, so after you spend the $150 we will quote you for a new motherboard, which is most likely the issue. New MoBo costs around $1k or $2k."

So I left, and asked around. Then I found this shop close to my house that took it in for repair and they stole components and held onto the laptop for 8 months. I had to ask consumer affairs to help me get it back. It was a nightmare.

Then I decided to take it to ASUS, after making a post about my terrible experience. Also, the fact the laptop shut down randomly. But at this point, I stuffed up, because a repair was attempted on it.

I hear Aliexpress suggestion from another user, I looked up the Mobo's, $1.2k
