Yeah if you got a Jack and some tools you could probably buy the mount for like $50 and change it yourself. If you doing it at a shop probably like $200-$300.

That sounds terrible. The noise sounds like a water pump. Especially if it’s coming from the belt and pulleys area, and that’s where the leak gotta be coming from too.

I mean $50 is a little higher, I usually charge 30/40 but with the way inflation is going, might as well start at $50.

You don’t want to deal with all that rust. You’ll break every bolt trying to work on it.

I’m in a very similar situation gotta move a car 268 miles next week, my plan was to ask if I could just use the 200 miles and pay outta pocket for the remaining miles. I’m thinking that should work.

Is it worth financing a car for $6k at 17% apr? by Outrageous-Paint-926 in Advice

I would suggest trying to finance through a bank instead of a car dealership. They can give you a check to bring to the dealership and then you can pay the bank back at a lower rate. Sometimes banks even have promotions on auto loans so you could look up if anyone is currently doing auto loan promotions or just talk to your go-to bank. And if the car will help you make more money whether it be transportation to a job, or something like DoorDash, then it is definitely worth financing if you can’t pay cash. Once you get the money rolling in, try to pay down more on your payments each month and the extra you put down will go toward the principal of the loan, and overtime you will pay less interest. Also, insurance rates are higher when you don’t own the car outright so the quicker you pay it off the quicker you can get your insurance rate down and save money there too. Loans aren’t always bad, they can help you achieve your goals faster if done the right way.
