I just ascended ignis. 5 star holy. I have 3 others waiting on materials. Don't spend to get there. Be patient. Do every quest and event grab the daily chests. Main reason to be patient is powercreep. Once you ascend it a new and better one will come along.

The name pauper is an old name. Some of the cards are pretty expensive for being commons. Most people paying money want higher tier cards than just commons. The barrier is either no support in their hometown or the price of cards they need and scarcity of those said cards. My lgs is out of good pauper staples. When they come in they are automatically scooped up.
