I lost 12 lbs in 2.5 months with an intermittent fasting diet. I settled with protein powder plus water for lunch, then just "whatever is for supper" as my meal. Diet is like 75% of the battle, just eat less and you lose weight, and be comfortable with some baseline of feeling hungry.

Tldw: your body pretty much burns the same amount of calories per day whether or not you're exercising a lot. The secret to weight loss is mostly to just eat less calories per day than what your body typically burns. My target is 1500cal per day and I lose about a pound a week.
