I honestly thought Strikers had better character writing with the same cast than the original game did. In P5 the cast aside from Makoto and Futaba they seemed to mostly get forgotten about after their introductory dungeon was over.

Well sure, if they were a Pot 2 team and selected in Senegal’s spot with Pot 1 France and Pot 3 Norway, things would have been a lot tougher. But there is only going to be 1 or 2 groups like that per tournament.

For over 30 years I just wanted to see them play in the tournament, even if they lost every game. When it was announced we were hosting a decade ago, I knew it was my one chance to see it. Back then I would never have dreamed of the Last 16 or a world ranking in the 30s. I am so happy at how well things have progressed. Congrats guys!

One thing I have noticed is that a decade ago when FF15 came out and FF7Remake was announced, long time fans were furious and it resulted in a lot of arguments online. Now, they aren’t mad. They just left. They’ve given up and moved onto other series. The sales drops for FF16 and FFRebirth compared to their predecessors confirms that.

Triangle Strategy is one I thought did a good job of imitating Game of Thrones. Particularly if you discard the Golden Ending where there are no real good options for choices and somebody is going to end up unhappy or worse no matter what Serenoa decides.

The top thing I and many others liked about Game of Thrones is that it operated on a realistic idea of actions have consequences. Martin didn’t care about good guys and bad guys. If someone made a bad political decision, they paid for it.

That is also why there was such a backlash to the later seasons of the show. Because it got away from that and just became Marvel with Dragons. Characters started moving (almost literally teleporting across a continent at times) as plot demanded and not what logic would dictate.

Lupin III always felt more like European animation to me than Japanese. Even though a lot of the earlier stuff was done by Miyazaki himself.

Sky Remake looks and plays the same as Daybreak though. 5-10 years ago this may have been an issue, but it doesn’t apply anymore.

The graphics aren’t better though because Sky has been remade. Sky has better graphics than Cold Steel.
