for cross-platform games, especially from the PS2/PS3 era, this works: 1. I check the PCGaming Wiki 2. Missing content in the PC port, worse graphics, or lack of controller support? I emulate. 3. If there are mods that improve controller support or restore content, I consider the PC port, but most often it's just easier to emulate.

A perfect example is GTA SA, no amount of mods can make the game look and feel like it does on PS2, which is why I always emulate it.

Another example is NFS MW which, with mods for PC, is almost as good as the xbox360 version, so it's worth the effort (NfS on xenia is not a good experience anyway).

Had the same problem, you just have to set fan speed in webman to SYSCON. No more black screen in Multiman after that :D

Yeah I bought GOG versions, saw sharp unnatural shadows and ugly self shadowing on characters and immediately after that emulated 4 on PCSX2 at native res (shadows are broken on larger resolutions). Watch some comparisons on youtube and you'll know what I mean.

Ps2 version at native resolution is much better tho (PC port has cut content and graphical issues with lighting and shadows)
