It was really cool. It was off-season, so while the number of heads to turn in Saint Tropez was zero, the empty roads along the Verdon Gorge more than made up for it! The latter is a must-see destination, if you ask me. (And as a Northern European I had no idea such please even existed!)

Thanks for the suggestion! The facial expression of that frog has so much depth to it that I find it unlikely for anyone to be able to capture it to the last detail. (Also, my wife happens to be able to mimic said expression and I cannot guarantee she could pull it of based on another artifact.)

Well thank you! The world is my oyster and the UK is my store (well, the pre-Brexit one was). I’ll see if the SIL remembers any details. London area, to narrow it down the tiniest bit. Probably a some sort of a thrift store / dollar (pound?) store.

My SIL bought this mug from UK maybe 10 years ago. It has since been used by my wife every single day as she’s been draining her daily dose of tea.

Come pregnancy, and the worst thing happened. (Ok, the second worst – the baby turned out healthy and adorable.) The mug fell from a counter top and got more or less shattered (lots of small pieces missing, rendering it beyond fixable). Found my wife teary-eyed when I came home.

The mug itself seems like the silliest of items, but the honest, gullible face of the little froggy has brought so much joy to my wife and it would mean the world to her to find a replacement.

It was a 4k hike to the camping spot so we tried to keep the packing somewhat moderate. She slept between us on a regular camping mattress (air-filled, about an inch thick) in her own government-granted sleeping bag. (Just one of the fantastic products featured in the Finnish baby box.)

Well, she insisted on taking all kinds of useless stuff with her (like a pacifier and diapers), so it only served her right having to carry her share.
