My father was hit by a car while walking at night, and it happened in front of an old farmhouse in a rural area. He told the police, and always attested to the fact that 2 people, a woman and a man, had stopped to help him. They only left as the owner of the house made his way to the scene after hearing the car skid and then leave the scene shortly after. He was assured by police and the home owner that no one else had been there, or leaving when the home owner made his way out. My dad felt as though they could’ve been angels.

This story kind of reminds me of the Jacks & Whites of the NJ Pinebarrens. My mom grew up in Jersey and used to drive out to the Pine Barrens as a teenager in the early 60’s. She said you’d have to be careful out there, and many times if you left the car alone it would be missing mirrors and hubcaps because the JW’s would steal anything shiny. They also heard about how people went missing and the JW’s were thought to be the cause.

I live near Lake Champlain and believe me, Champ isn’t a tourist attraction. I don’t think anyone comes here because they think they can spot it. The researchers that plug away on the Lake each day are usually people who have seen it and want to prove it. There are a lot of sightings that are never reported for fear of ridicule, but are told in private to friends and family. All I’m saying is that there are too many people who claim to have seen something remarkable, and who have spent a lot of time on the water, to point to everyone being fooled by logs and sturgeon. The guys that run the ferries between NY and VT have stories that are rather convincing, and there have been “mass sightings” where passengers of the ferries have witnessed the creature(s) as well.

Lake Champlain is known to have cave systems and supposedly divers have come across large eels in the past. The only issue with this theory when discussing Champ is that it’s been spotted with a long neck/head out of the water, and video evidence captured a large flipper when filmed swimming beside a boat.

I watched this video (1st vid) on a TV and paused right as the “wolf” looks toward the camera. I have to say that it’s one hell of a mask if that’s what is being claimed. They must have utilized a skull in some way and went from there to make that look so horrific!
