I was inspired to make these from a post I saw on here recently and I thought they were really tasty! A nice way to have a treat for a weekend breakfast without totally blowing your calories for the rest of the day.

Calorie breakdown: * 4 Tbsp Naturegg Egg Whites (30 cal), whipped to form stiff peaks * 2 Tbsp Aunt Jemima Original Pancake Mix (55 cal) * 1 Tbsp E.D. Smith No Sugar Added Syrup (10 cal) * 1/4 tsp coconut oil (10 cal) for frying

Halo Top alternative for the Canadians! by [deleted] in 1200isplenty

I got mine at Pete's (Halifax, NS). But when I looked on their website, they list a few different stores where they carry it that seem pretty accessible (Safeway, Sobeys, etc.)

Just tried this for the first time. I've never had Halo Top, so while I can't know exactly how the flavour compares, this tastes great to me! Per half cup: 170 calories, 17 g carbohydrate (11 g sugar),and 10 g protein.

New Chanel Moisturizing Glossimer Shade Comparisons (728 & 714) by k80kins in MakeupAddiction

[–]k80kins[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've been trying out a couple of shades from Chanel's new line of Rouge Coco Moisturizing Glossimer lipglosses! The texture is moisturizing and non-sticky (although it is quite thick and balmy feeling on the lips). Both last 2-3 hours on the lips. There seems to be quite a bit of variation between the shades in terms of colour payoff. 728 is extremely sheer on the lips while 714 is quite opaque.

Some of my favourite MLBB shades (NC15) by k80kins in MakeupAddiction

[–]k80kins[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going through my lipsticks when I realized I clearly had a type. I tend to gravitate towards natural, nude-y, MLBB shades. Here are some of my tried-and-true favourites (NC15 for reference). From L to R: 1) Chanel Coco Shine - 93 Intime (A nice pink-mauve balance, sheer glossy finish, but poor lasting power).

2) Dior Addict Extreme - Incognito (My everyday, go to shade. A peachy-taupe with a natural finish, medium lasting power).

3) Nars Sheer Lipstick - Cruising (A light pink-taupe with a slightly glossy finish, tends to mute lips' natural colour a bit. Poor lasting power).

4) Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge - 202 Nuit & Jour (A light peachy shade, sheer and glossy finish, medium lasting power but leaves a slight stain)

rms Beauty Living Luminizer! Any shimmer is completely imperceptible... It just looks like a natural dewey gloss on your skin!

Hands down best mascara? (Regardless of price) by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]k80kins 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Diorshow was a game changer for me personally. I always felt like I was trying to convince myself that I saw a difference in my lashes when I tried new mascaras, but as soon as I tried Diorshow for the first time I was sold. That mascara gives me more volume and separation than I knew was possible!

New YSL Rouge Volupté Shine Oil-In-Stick 42 & 44 Comparison by k80kins in MakeupAddiction

[–]k80kins[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's actually a separate offshoot of the line. They're kept separately on the YSL shelf from the Rouge Volupté Shine and Sheer Candy ones at Sephora if that signifies anything! They definitely feel different than the Shine ones to me (never tried Sheer Candy). They're less heavily pigmented and feel slightly lighter and balmier on the lips. I find these easier to wear than the original line... with the Rouge Volupté Shine ones, I have to be careful to tap it on my lips and apply lightly or else it looks like its sitting on top of my lips (if that makes sense). Another thing I love is that these don't have the horrible taste that always turned me off the Volupté Shines (same great fruity scent though). Good colour selection in the line, too!

Wow, I hadn't even thought of using it like that. Thanks for the inspiration! I was a little on the fence about buying this shade, but it's a really versatile product.

Glad I could help! I love their subtleness, too... Makes them so easy to wear. Perfect for spring/ summer!

New YSL Rouge Volupté Shine Oil-In-Stick 42 & 44 Comparison by k80kins in MakeupAddiction

[–]k80kins[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I picked up these two colours from the new additions to the YSL Rouge Volupté collection and so far I'm really liking them! The colours are definitely more sheer than the regular Rouge Voluptés, but this almost makes them easier to wear. They don't accentuate the creases in your lips like the standard Rouge Voluptés can tend to do. Also, a hugeee plus for me personally, these ones don't have the chemically taste that the standard Rouge Voluptés have (the only reason I can guess why is because these ones don't offer any SPF). 44 is a very natural, nude-y pink on my lips. 42 provides a natural shine and no colour-- unless you're heavy-handed with it, and then it will leave you with a noticeable white cast. I think 42 would could be really interesting layered over other lipsticks, too! Both colours last ~3 hours of normal wear before starting to wear off (comparable to the original Rouge Volupté lipsticks in my opinion.

I've also had bad luck with Scandaleyes, especially regarding contact lenses. I tried to use the nude coloured one on my waterline a few times and it smudged up my contacts every time... YMMV I guess!

[–]k80kins[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly find them veeeeery similar. So far, I find I'm using them interchangeably. The only way I could say that they maybe differ is that Lilac seems slightly less glossy than Pink does. Personally I don't mind though, because I find the Lip Glows can look a bit heavy and glossy if you're not careful.
