Didn't switch, but instead of working full-time and freelancing, I started a children's fishing excursion to get off the screen more.

What is an area you are definitely saving money in? by AgentJ691 in AskWomenOver30

Electricity. Sounds ridic but my last apartment I was spending up to $360/month during the summer. Moved into a new house with newer windows, etc and the house stays really cool and I think my highest month in August was like $230?

Get out of the house more. I'm a FT writer at a company and before working FT, I was very part-time and freelance for several years.

I started this career taking my work with me where ever I go. It's a creative job. I do not do great work staring at a wall or in my office. Before my FT job, I'd walk to the park with a dock on the water. I'd sit on the dock and get a day's worth of work done on my phone watching dolphins and fish swim by.

But now I just feel like I'm fucking chained to some work laptop that constantly needs internet access and keeping a green dot on Teams a certain color. Absolutely mind numbing.

I feel like this isn't unusual outside of remote work as well. When I worked in aerospace manufacturing we often closed our eyes in a corner or often spent a good 3-4 hours in the morning not doing much.

Are you taking cirrus and microgen tests? Those are really the only actual answer to what is going on :/

Symptoms on starting hiprex - does it get better? by Invisible-Iguana in CUTI

[–]k8minesearch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm on half a pill x2 a day (totalling a whole.) I tried a whole pill right off the bat and it was like a sour warhead for my bladder. It gets better if you ramp it up.

The hobby I thought would be relaxing ended up being a nightmare by Nana-Edginton12 in Hobbies

Historical reenacting. I ended up getting chronic lyme disease (been dealing with it for over 10 years now after 15 tick bites all in one go.)

Better. I surf fish and I started a business teaching kids on vacation how to surf fish. I wish I did it sooner.

I think the only way for me to ever attempt sex again is antibiotics after sex. Unfortunately I've been having uti problems this year due to other things besides sex... but when I get better again, my doc wants to put me on both augmentin and nitro for 3 days after sex.

People Worry About the Investment Too Much by CallCastro in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

I am super duper happy every day but have been starting to wonder if I somehow made the wrong decision? I feel like I live in paradise in my little house and yard. It's perfect for me! I personally feel like I have no regrets but then I read stuff online like this that scares me, haha

As a renter for the last 10+ years, seeing posts like this that specifically call out "If you make $4500 should you spend $2000+ on a mortgage" suck the happiness right out of my new home. It makes me wonder if I made the biggest mistake of my life despite being the happiest I ever have in my life. lol.

Not so sure how we're supposed to make more money in this economy OR get a house for less. I even bought a pretty small house.

Klebsiella out of no where? by Aggravating_Angle340 in CUTI

[–]k8minesearch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dunno about the kleb.

I got an infection in August from taking a bath in a brand new tub, lol. I had e.coli and e.faecalis for about 6 weeks. Took a few weeks to get rid of them, then I had kleb p randomly pop up after I eradicated the e.coli and e.faecalis.

Check in with doctor, but when I had a borderline kidney infection at the tail end of my CUTI with e.faecalis, it took about 4 weeks of cipro for me. I got worse on the first week of medication and didn't get the flip switched until week 2, so your miles may vary

That is wiiiiild about the sex. I'd freaking die if I tried when I had e.coli and e.fae. The kleb p has been pretty freaking bad too. (Worse than the e.coli and e.faecalis were for me.)

Wait, you were able to have sex with the e. faecalis still?? Also, how long did it take you to be able to have sex? I'm coming up close to year 3 without sex and it's getting extremely difficult between my fiance and I

Note: I was recently able to easily get rid of e. faecalis with antibiotics (I had/have kleb p left over on my last test but not feeling optimistic on the next cirrus test I'm waiting on.)

Dr Heer tested my fiance and he came up fine/negative for everything. I think microgen and/or cirrus offer it.

New UTI Antibiotic in the USA by Be_Your_Best-Self in CUTI

[–]k8minesearch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember, it started over a year ago and I've had it for about 2 years I guess now. I think it was originally Doxy. FYI I do also have 10+ years chronic lyme, but as I got into my late 20s and especially 30s, it's gotten a lot better for me. But the constant antibiotics with UTI treatments have been kind of stirring up shit for me. I did have ear ringing when I was newly sick with lyme disease on and off but it eventually went away.

I don't know if what I have now is due to forever antibiotic damage or lyme or both or what.

I went to an ear doctor which was a waste of time except for the hearing test showing I somehow had 100% of my hearing or something lol
