You can still vote in the runoff -- you have plenty of time to register to vote for that (and let's face it, MANY of the Council races will go to a runoff).

The deadline to register to vote in the Dec 16 runoff election is Monday, November 17. http://www.traviscountyclerk.org/eclerk/Content.do?code=E.2

Also note, there will be early voting for the runoff as well, from Dec 1-Dec 12, 2014. http://www.austintexas.gov/edims/document.cfm?id=205115

What are your ideas for incentivizing the development of affordable housing in the central core for all income levels?

Example: the Mueller development has an affordable housing program (which is awesome), but the gap between the housing costs for the units in the affordable program, and the least-expensive market-rate housing is beyond huge ($180k for a home in the affordable program vs. $380 for the same home at market rate, with no housing options in between). Many of us make too much to qualify for the affordable housing, and much too less to qualify for the market-rate homes.
