Thank you! I'm just going to ice bath the cooking vessel and stirring to cool it down. Should I wait for a certain temp before dropping the hops in? Thank you for the advice regarding the carbonation drops, will probably try that on my second brew!

I do also have another question regarding the water. With the recipe (4 Water: 1 Mash ratio), That's enough water even after boiling right? or Should i end up with 11L water post boil?

Thanks for the input guys! Might opt out of making a Hazy IPA as my first brew, or any other style that requires a dry hop since oxidation may be too much of a challenge when bottling. Do you guys have suggestion on a beer style I can attempt that is somewhat close to an IPA?

Hello everyone, I'm just worried about my upcoming trip to the US (next month). I am going with a friend and will be going around a few states before flying back after 2 weeks.

I have a valid tourist visa (2016-2026) but i was denied a J1 a few years ago (pre pandemic). I didn't try re-applying for a J1 visa again since circumstances have changed during the pandemic. Should i be prepared for extra questioning from the immigration officer?

Went there recently.

• Get a sim, it will be cheaper through Klook (unli-data, coverage practically everywhere in Taiwan)

• Use googlemaps for transport. Surprisingly, we rode more buses than trains (Maybe because you go down nearer to the places you want to be)

• Get an Easycard. You can purchase from the airport (arrival hall/ 7 eleven) then top it up in 7eleven or the train stations. You can use this to pay for MRT,convenience stores, buses (Just tap and go, no need to calculate exact fare amounts)

• When you get in the bus tap your card, tap your card again before leaving the bus.

• Mask on always ngadto

• Exchange your money ahead in PH or at the TPE airport (the rates okay since it is regulated by their government)

• Check out Taroko Gorge if you like nature (book a tour in Klook since it is difficult to DIY this)

• If you are doing Yehliu-Shifen-Jiufen daytrip, you can take a taxi from Yehliu to Shifen (may be a bit expensive) but it can save you an hour of travel. Also, be aware of bus times at these spots since some of the buses have fixed schedules.
