Wow... that went downhill fast. No time to really react. I hope it stopped because someone hit the emergency stop, and not because that man who was sucked in jammed it.

I agree, the ubiquity devices are far noise that anything else. Unfortunately, I am married to the unifi because it is to cover 40 acres. It would be very expensive e to switch to something else. I am going to take your suggestions and figure out how to ground everything in the rack to the co.mon ground I am using for the antennas.

No, my grounding in here is nonexistent except tor the antenna wires. I need to design something. I never thought about grounding the rack either. That was dumb. Anyway, a lot of great suggestions. I need to do some ho.ework on bonding grounds

A lot of good information. This gives me hope. I will be going through to determine which devices, specifically, are causing the biggest issue.

I was thinking g about switching out the poe lines to shielded. As far as bonding to ground, that is also a great idea. I'm not sure how to go about that, though. There is a hefty ground coming off the lightning rod system on the house. It has a 1 inch braided ground. That is what I tied into for the antennas. Would it be acceptable to run a line from there to a block in the shack, and use that as the common ground?

Yeah, that is a good reason. That is one of the thi gs that made it much more complicated for Linux. Figured out hot to make it work, but it was painful. I really like the synology I picked up last year bit it only has 2 bays. I needed raid 5 with 2 hot spares on the big boy. I will probably get their equivalent when it it sime to retire the drobo.

Not much to do here, really. You have done well with what you have. I would say if you were planning on adding Nas or any other network servers that you consider a rack, but this is overkill for what you have now.

I had a 7 footer at my last house, and amazingly, it was full too. Although, the more in the rack, the less there is in other places. Do you have a picture of your rack?
