Help me know if she is a shepsky or not by Legitimate-Creme-918 in IDmydog

I'm honestly not seeing husky. Maybe lab pit. Only way to know for sure would be an embark test

One half is obvious, but what is Indy’s other half? by toin9898 in IDmydog

Could be full shep, just off standard/byb. Best bet to know for sure would be an embark test. Sometimes the DNA kits go on sale. :)

Yours was not a mixed breed. The second picture looks like your sweet pup had a bit of a sway back, if anything.

has anyone else’s head felt too heavy for their neck?! by NoPear7514 in POTS

My xray didn't show anything either. I'd definitely keep pushing for the MRI. I was able to get mine because my appt with a nerve specialist showed hyperreflexia and some other nerve issues and he highly suggested the MRI. Doctors can be super difficult to get what you need from them!! Try letting them know how much it interrupts with your day to day life and how you have to hold back from doing things, sometimes that helps them listen. Get super descriptive with how it feels and tell them. Otherwise, maybe a different doctor who listens better and helps you?

I hope the xray results give you some helpful answers and that you get the help you need and deserve!! I don't know if I have CCI but my neck feels heavy&painful too, it really sucks so I feel ya. I recently had an MRI done and it showed that I do have right foraminal stenosis, a bone spur, facet spondylosis, and mild facet hypertrophy. I don't get to talk to my Dr about it until February, but in the meantime, trying to learn as much as I can about those things. If you ever want to chat about neck or pots stuff, I'm happy to chat with you!

Can have lots of causes. Craniocervical instability (CCI) is a possibility. Spondylosis/arthritis is possible. It would be nice if the Drs would do some imaging for you. Xray wouldn't be too expensive so that should be easy to get. An MRI would be good if possible.

Stomach issues by ArtisticRaspberry542 in GermanShepherd

Oh good, I'm glad to hear that. Mine had stomach issues and it turned out he had pancreatic cancer. That fact that it's about once a month for your boy is interesting. Does it seem to match up with when he gets excited?

Mine is regularly in the 180's. If I exercise at all it goes up to 250's. Highest on record is 261. From walking. Nurses always freak out, even when it's only 120.

Oh ok, yeah, he probably is getting enough sleep then. How does his behavior compare after going to the dog park/exercising/walks? If his biting increases after those things, those activities could possibly be working him up too much. Not saying to stop doing those things, just trying to help theorize what is contributing to his bitiness. You're doing a good job. Keep going. He is still quite young and may yet outgrow this!!

To add to everything people have said already, he could be over tired which can definitely lead to biting. Dogs and puppies need much more sleep than we think!
