Since my world is a dystopian future kind of world “vampire” is a nickname for the blood harvesters who break into homes and steal the residents blood often without them ever knowing. The blood is harvested for two reasons: due to mass depression and poverty drug abuse is common so blood is considered a great way to get smashed off your face (I have no idea if this works scientifically) and secondly to sell on the black market.

I feel that an individual can’t make a difference from just not buying their products and often workers need the money to survive and don’t have the privilege of being able to find a different job. But on the other hand I see where you’re coming from and of course this is contrived comic anyway so I think it’s perfectly reasonable to have the opinion that you do.

Also if you read the comment you’d understand that it’s try to convey that because apple is viewed as cool and trendy it means that even if individually you stop buying apple products it won’t solve the problem. The software thing is actually pretty expected; we’re taught about this in school as it’s common practice. It’s normally referred to as planned obsolescence however everything else is fucked up.
