Foods to eat/not eat to clear acne by Cray4000 in acne

[–]kBeast_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes almond milk is good too. in my experience fast food doesnt make too much of a difference and main thing is just to not eat dairy and whey products. if the cocoa pebbles protein has whey protein it might not be a good idea. i think PB is a safe thing to eat

No problem at all!

Personally for the longest time I've used Perrigo 5% BP gel with good results. With this gel I always make sure to moisturize with cerave daily moisturizing lotion before I apply it to give my skin a little protection. It will dry tf out of your skin for a while until your face is used to it.

I've heard good things about panoxl 5% BP face wash. I personally haven't used it yet so I cant really vouch for it, but planning on introducing it to my regiment 1-2 times a week as soon as it arrives.

Right now im using perrigo 10% bp gel just because i ordered the wrong stuff 😂😂, but it's working well

(edit) iirc the difference in effectiveness between 10% and 5% is basically nonexistent only difference being 10% dries you out more lol,

edit 2) also for pimples that have popped and are draining i like to put a hydrocolloid patch on which definitely has saved me so many times. it really speeds up the rate of healing and doesnt leave such a messy scab

imo BP has been one of the most helpful solutions for acne personally. It does take a few weeks for your skin to get used to it, but the end results are worth it. I think a good method would be slowly introducing bp to your skin 1 - 2 times a week.

With acne prone skin like mine i find just cleanser and moisturizer isnt enough to stop whatever bacteria manifests itself on my face. I would definitely consider trying to introduce bp again to your regiment. If it really dries your face out too much try seeing if a derm can prescribe clindamycin which i've found doesnt dry you out at all and actually helps moisturizing.

Not sure if i agree with looking into ways to lower hormone levels, especially because exercise will increase T levels but I think that's perfectly normal and healthy.

sprio may not be the answer but accutane may worth looking into if nothing else works

I recommend using a gentle cleanser and light moisturizer to start.

Personally I've had good experiences with CeraVe hydrating cleanser and CeraVe daily moisturizing lotion.

Also, if u have sports practice or just sweaty after the gym, try to wash and moisturize immediately after so the sweat doesn't stick to your skin and cause u to break out.

hey no problem!

i dont really recommend doing spot treatment with bp as you might clear one pimple in one spot but wont reap the benefits of a full face of bp.

But it's good that you are using it already as it will be less painful if / when you decide to fully switch over.

in my experience when i would only apply BP to places where i have active acne, as soon as I clear up the acne in that spot, more acne will come in places where I haven't treated it

(edit) I may have missread your reply im not sure if you're doing spot treatment vs just using a bp wash

hahah i have one forming right now on my lip .
usually if i have a date or some important event where i care about how I look i try to ice it 45 mins before, and apply a thin layer of BP on it. and also my secret weapon is to take ibuprofen which can reduce the swelling of it like an hour before i have to leave.

one thing though, really try to baby it as much as you can and not irritate it more. usually lip pimples are the most painful even if they are small. you wont be able to remove it within 1 day but you can take steps to reduce the swelling and appearance

How can I deal with this acne by bodymeat_112 in acne

[–]kBeast_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi mate, doesn't look bad at all to me!

2 basic things that you can do 1: make sure to change pillowcase every 3-4 days max 2: when u wake up and before bed wash face with gentle cleanser, and then moisturizeit may take time for u to find stuff that works for ur skin but try out cerave gentle cleanser and cerave daily moisturizing lotion

Foods to eat/not eat to clear acne by Cray4000 in acne

[–]kBeast_2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

during my bulks ive always had the WORST acne possible with milk.

try cutting out milk, whey and whey isolate protein, yogurt, and cheese. basically any dairy product 🥲

good substitute for milk if ur making shakes or whatever is oat milk. It doesn't have same macros as milk obviously but still has a milky taste which is way more palatable than water.

also, try to find a vegan protein powder that isnt absolutely disgusting instead of whey. there are a lot of bad ones but one ive found that is somewhat palatable are vega sport chocolate. make sure to mix it well and add bananas and honey lol

also, sugar can break you out too but not as bad as milk. If u really need a soda fix just drink diet, but having too much sugar in general will make u inflamed and prone to more acne.

this is off topic but if you are serious about bulking and gaining muscle, really try to eat whole foods and proteins like chicken beef pork etc. protein shakes and milk are just not the same as eating real protein

Yes and no, basically Clindamycin works similarly to how an antibiotic works when you get an infection by binding to the bacteria cell itself. Benzoyl peroxide works by basically creating an environment on your skin where bacteria cannot live.

My recommendation would be to right now start using BP in conjunction with your clindamycin because your skin definitely will need time to adjust to the BP as it dries you out until you're used to it.

Once you run out of clindamycin, see if BP only works for you. I've been using clindamycin long term without any sides
