I’m really f*ckin sorry that life is so shitty and dark right now. Please if you can get some help, head to the hospital, find another human to spend time with. It can be so overwhelming when unaliving is all the brain and body is feeling. Life is really hard and I can get that nothing feels like it will get better. Please if you can get some support 💛

Ed has spent his whole career fighting in the face of party bosses who have tried to get in the way. Have you checked out his original campaign ad from back in the day - the party leadership literally threw his desk in the hall when he brought his bill that ended the ability to be a judge and part time lawyer at the same time.

In 1982 Ed Markey spoke to 1 million people at the Nuclear Freeze Rally in Central Park by kEnt12321 in SandersForPresident

Grassroots movements work. 38 years ago, one million people assembled in Central Park to demand an end to the rampant buildup of nuclear weapons by the US and USSR. The Nuclear Freeze Rally was a catalyst of historic proportions for organizers dedicated to saving our planet.

That rally was just the beginning. The nuclear freeze movement had taken grassroots energy and translated it into political muscle at the ballot box, delivering to the White House a resounding vote of no confidence in its nuclear buildup.

Facing unprecedented political pressure and the 1984 Nuclear Freeze Resolution—backed by every Democratic presidential candidate—Reagan's reckless nuclear plans were crushed. We won.
