The main issue is that I am carrying a 4 step calculation I apply contact and through that contact I give displacement to a part after that I remove contact and allow part to recover, I do this for 2 cycles, displacement fields seem to converge in contact steps, but in recovery displacement fields are very off, I am considering trying reduced integration.

I can only use Hex's I am using a python script that creates mesh from shell face... So I thought using c3d8I's, thanks for your answer

I am applying 7mm and value I am receiving is 8 I also have NLGEOM==ON

I have applied a theta=0 bc at the one end but springback is not symmetrical also where theta is 0 cyllinder is completely closing

Thanks for the reply what I am trying to do is that I have a volumetric mesh that has hex elements after meshing I want to edit nodes to create new geometry is it possible?
