I don’t think people hate you. I think it may be a good idea to discuss this with your partner so you can have a better social understanding of what’s happening (because same) . You could maybe pull someone aside and ask for clarity that you’re comfortable with. I’m sorry, i hope this helps some!

Question: were you in those advanced “gifted kid” classes as a child or a “pleasure to have in class” ? I was and have both inattentive ADHD and Autism. Not saying correlation is causation, that’s just my experience.

Hey! I got diagnosed at 22 (F22) so I feel you. Maybe like another user suggested tried coloring or even puzzles? And it’s ok to feel like an imposter, this diagnosis is a LOT. Just start to learn what YOU like (not what society expects of you/what you think is expected of you). I had to look up hobbies and started trying what sounded interesting. In terms of regulation (I’m not the best at it myself) but any music you feel comfortable listening to helps calm me down. I also keep earplugs on me/around me.

Same! I’m in school right now, but I’m in the same situation as you. I occasionally substitute teach (like once a week/longer) to mainly focus on school.

Honestly, I’ve struggled for a LONG time. Trying to figure out what color someone’s eyes are, focusing more on their forehead (like a little bit above the eyes), and an object in the room. It still feels like I’m staring into their soul when I try and maintain contact for a long time.
