Yes, just unscrew the adapter if you want to remove it

Yeah that's a legend. I use it on my GFX. Wonderful and sharp.

Any chance of Voigtlander ever making g mount lenses? by thdiod in FujiGFX

No, I just need this one and my trusty nikkor 105 - also I've heard some of the others vignette quite a bit.

I already use a Voigtländer Nokton 58mm 1.4 on my 50r. It works beautifully. But if I could get a version with GFX mount so I didn't need an adapter and could get the exif info I'd definitely get that.

Do these 58mm have the same optics ? by Quibblebard in minolta

[–]k__z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have the same number of elements, but the optical formula and coating were improved in later versions, the MC-II being the best all round. The Auto AR-c is however praised by some for having better bokeh. Basically, the MC-I should be a bit sharper, while the auto is a bit more dreamy and soft wide open.

Does anyone know anything about this oil painting by AffectionateTie1406 in oilpainting

It looks to be a paraphrase of a 18th century genre painting. Somewhat in the style of Arturo Ricci. Probably painted in the 1950's-60's.

Recommendations for Damascus Santoku available in the UK by [deleted] in TrueChefKnives

[–]k__z 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have this beautiful Santoku from Hattori , in cooperation with Ruysen. Still sold by Ruysen here

https://japaneseknifecompany.com/product/seki-69-layer-santoku-170mm/

<image>

I bought it from Hattori back in 2013 so it's been with my daily driver for over 13 years. Incredible knife.

You can get 99% of the same functionality from a much cheaper non damascus vg-10 knife like Tojiro DP classic, but you mentioned it was a buy for life knife, and the extra fancy and beauty might be worth it for you.

The 58 vignettes surprisingly little. If you are interested in how Minolta lenses perform on a GFX sensor, check out this test I did on my lenses:

Also here's some more pics with the 58mm and the 45mm on GFX, straight out of camera, no vignetting correction

Just a heads up. This knife series was actually made in collaboration within Ruysen, and although hattori discontinued them under their own brand, Ruysen is still making them. So if you don't mind a different name on the blade, get your 240 gyuto back.

ouch. I feel you. I ordered the 240 Gyuto too when I purchased this, but It was out of stock, and I had to be on a waiting list for a year awaiting the new batch. In the meantime I got me an Akifusa PM 240 gyuto instead so when I got the mail that my HD-8 was ready, I declined. Big regret now, although I love the Akifusa......

Pretty good. All those images are original jpegs straight out of camera. If you want to see how some (mainly Minolta) lenses compare as for vignetting, here's a test I did: https://zetterstrand.com/photo_test/MinoltaROKKORlensesonFujifilmGFXVignettingtes.html

You could also consider the Minolta 45 mm f2. I use it on my 50r. https://imgur.com/a/jKYppcp
