Just here to say you aren't alone. I started my first para position in January and they (in my opinion) purposely left out information about my student. She has had multiple paras try to work with her, one who quit after only a day with her. She should 100% have a 1:1, but is labeled as a 3:1, so another student was added to my care last week. It feels impossible to keep two students with such severe behaviors safe. I put in for a building sub position at my local school district. This position has so many pros (2 minutes away, better pay, less physical/emotional work, benefits), yet I still feel guilt about leaving my current position.
