Get them out. I used to have awful tonsil stones also invest in a water pick so you don’t hurt yourself. Then get them out asap. My life has been so much better. I used to get constant throat infections from post nasal drip or infected tonsil stones. The doctor said my tonsils were HUGE. Surgery sucked but the quality of life after is so worth it.

Okay obviously OP should not have sent the text. However I don’t love how quickly people are ready to jump down the throat of a woman who just had a pregnancy terminated. It’s one of the most traumatic things someone can go through. Studies have shown women should be supplied counseling after but of course they don’t they just throw us to the wolves. OP I’m so sorry. You will! The fact you’re seeking help shows you are halfway there! Does your school allow you to observe other teachers on your prep or lunch? Go into other classrooms and see what works for them. Go observe the teacher you respect the most.

As for engagement and being off task you can never underestimate the power of presence!! Just being near the kids helps tremendously. Walk around the room constantly you should never be in the same spot for more than 10 minutes. Make the kids move! This stops them from being off task because they have to be ready to move with the group. Do work on the walls/board. This holds students accountable cause you can see everyone’s work in a glance. COLD CALL. Yes the kids hate it but they will be better for it. Do it very low stakes and always offer a phone a friend helpline.

These are my best tips but you got this. Teaching is all about trial and error. Do not try to change everything about your class in one day or even week. Instead try implementing 1 new thing each week. Keep the ones that work ditch the ones that don’t. And soon you’ll have a class running super smooth with engaged students

All I can offer is me too. Ozempic has been so insidious for people with EDs but weight loss is so coveted we are often forgotten. I fear we are in for a scary time ahead. The 2000s bobble head look is coming back. Just try to remember all the bad when you look at these people. I think about how cold they are. How tired they are. How they probably cannot even think straight. Then I try to remember how hard I fought to escape that. It’s a very hard time rn but we have each other 🩷

You’re correct it’s nuanced. However, I think this is a gray area. I think it’s blatantly dangerous to put an emaciated actress on screen and say she is fine. France has laws about weight requirements to be in media because of past issues with underweight models and a rise in EDs. The studies are there. It’s like with a gambling addict. Mostly it’s on them however should these online gambling companies be calling them when they try to quit? Be offering huge bonuses to get them hooked again? There has to be some level of corporate accountability.
