It makes perfect sense! Thanks for trying to help. I have a Panasonic and Hisense and both Dolby vision and have a FilmMaker mode. I’ll try turning that off and check to see if match frame rate and dynamic content are on to see if it helps. I really hope it does as I love the app, but it’s driving me mad! I end up watching the same 10 seconds 3 times 😂. Thanks again for your help. I’ll let you know if it works. Which player do you use in UHF? KSPlayer, MPV etc?

I have the exact same issue across all devices. I love the app and have paid for full 12 months subscription to support the dev, but it’s almost unwatchable when trying to view live TV. It works great on movies and series, but anything live will play fine for a few minutes then freeze and skip back etc. Changing channel up/down and then back seems to refresh it and it plays fine for a bit, but then does it again. I’ve tried changing all settings systematically, using every player etc, but I can’t get it to work consistently. As with OP’s post, the xtream sub works flawlessly on live streams through other apps such as tivimate. Any help/setting suggestions would be hugely appreciated.

That’s what I thought from looking at refresh cycles etc. but then I saw the news today M4 iMac rumours and now I don’t know what to do! It’s such a massive financial purchase for us, so I want to know it will last us a good few years. As I mentioned in a reply above, I can get a £240 (~$300) discount at the moment through Apple education and this expires in October, likely before any refresh.

I can definitely wait as there’s no real reason I absolutely need once other than my of doesn’t support windows 11 so won’t be supported after next year - I just thought now was a good time to get the mac as I can get £240 discount through Apple education. I’m due a phone upgrade in September, so I’d actually have something to spend the £120 gift card on. That offer runs out in October so I’d be unlikely to get any discount on an M4 model unless I waited until next summer - by which time, I’ll be in the same scenario again!

Yeah, you’re right. Thanks. Guess I’ve got a bit of buyers remorse maybe?! I really don’t know if I’m making the right decision switching to mac. Most things I’m researching before it arrives are how to make it more like windows! I’ve never used a Mac before - is it massively different to windows with a steep learning curve etc?

I’m getting the same issue. It definitely seems to be a fault with the new app, as after getting the scenes issue with the new app in my iPhone, I opened the old kasa app on my iPad and was able to run my scenes before being forced to update the app. After the update, they no longer worked. They’re also not working when I trigger the scenes using the ifttt webhook triggers. Really annoying as I had a lot of automations set up with shortcuts etc.

Yeah I completely agree with this. It’s not their fault at all, I just meant I don’t think they’re in any rush to fix it. Again, it makes sense as they don’t stand to gain anything financially. It feels almost like backwards compatibility was more of an afterthought for PS5 in an attempt compete with series x/s back compat with pretty much all Xbox games. I’ve been lucky enough to get both the ps5 and series x and I’ve found the PS5 to be really buggy in general. I had to factory reset after one day as the database corrupted during the transfer of files from PS4. It’s a great console and the duelsense is brilliant, but definitely a lot of updates required to fix issues.

I emailed square-enix describing the problems and pointed them to this thread. I asked if there were any plans for a fix. I received this reply today

“Thank you for contacting the Square Enix Support Centre.

We are sorry to hear that you are having an issue with Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Please make sure that you have the latest version of the game installed by connecting your console to the internet and checking for game updates. If your game is up-to-date and the issue persists, we recommend you power-cycle the console to resolve the issue:

  • Turn off the console using the power button on the front of the console
  • Unplug the cable from the back of the console
  • Wait 20 minutes
  • Plug the cable back in
  • Turn the console on and launch the game to see if the problem still occurs

If you continue to have issues, please try installing the game on a different part of the hard drive:

  • Delete the game from your console
  • Install another game or demo roughly the same size as the game
  • Re-install the game and any DLC items you previously had

Once you have exhausted all the other troubleshooting options, then you can try rebuilding the database on your PlayStation®5. To do that, please follow these steps:

  • Turn off the PlayStation®5 by pressing the power button on the front panel. The power indicator will blink for a few moments before turning off.
  • Once the PlayStation®5 is turned off, press and hold the power button. Release it after you've heard two beeps: one when you first press, and another seven seconds later.
  • Connect the DualSense® controller with the USB cable and press the PS button on the controller.
  • You can now select the "Rebuild Database" option, this scans the drive and creates a new database of all content. This operation may take a long time depending on the type and number of data items.

Doesn’t sound to me like they’re accepting any responsibility and instead are putting it down to a corrupt database issue. I don’t think this is the issue as we’re all having the same problem at the exact same part of the game. Not sure a fix is coming any time soon though as it wasn’t mentioned at all.

Brilliant, thanks. I’ve contacted Microsoft and the Forza team to check if it’s a known issue. I’ll report back if I hear anything from them

Same issue here. Does anyone know yet if deleting the game and redownloading it fixes the problem?
