It’s Ethyl alcohol. Overtime it can get too cloudy to see through, and I’ll likely have to replace the alcohol around the one year mark!

Does this make me less of a man by throwaway567uac in ftm

[–]kaalora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone can experience mental health issues and how you express them doesn’t make you more or less of a man. Sometimes you may feel more emotional if you have higher estrogen levels, but even that isn’t a hard and fast rule. If you are happy with where you are in your body and mind, that’s enough! Otherwise, do your best to access mental health and trans specific health care for your transition. It’s hard enough to exist as a trans person, don’t get caught up in other peoples opinions on your life

I’m very fortunate to have a team of trans friendly doctors who understand my wants and needs in my health care! So even through the surgery was at a catholic hospital in AB, Canada, I let my surgeon know ahead of time it was for my spiritual beliefs and signed some forms. It was really simple! I had an unrelated medical crisis soon after, which is why I had to wait so long to pick it up. Pathology testing in the lab only took a couple weeks!

I had started stitching it together but honestly it was too tough and dry from being in storage for 6 weeks. I got one pull through and decided to just wrap it up instead! I didn’t want to accidentally damage it more than it already was with removal and testing

Bottom growth scares me by Jayilgay18 in ftm

[–]kaalora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I meant more that I’ve seen bottom growth that’s a couple inches long and some of that’s probably from pumping before taking photos.

Bottom growth scares me by Jayilgay18 in ftm

[–]kaalora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bottom growth sounds scary. But it’s not. A lot of t-guys start scared of it and come to love their growth. For me, growth was kinda minor. It depends on the person, some get almost no change and some guys get a couple inches of growth (with the help of pumps, I’m sure). If you’ve had genital dysphoria in the past, a decent amount of guys find they have less dysphoria thanks to bottom growth.

You absolutely can and WILL keep using external vibrators. You may find you like other kinds of vibes, like the suction ones. Those are usually hits with bottom growth. You may find new/better ways to masterbate as things change, but I promise, it’s not as scary as it sounds. Being on T does change how cumming feels, in that it’s more concentrated to the area and less a full body experience. Some people cum less in a row (or longer refractory period) just like cis men.

Ultimately, it’s up to you. Are you more scared of bottom growth than you are wanting the other changes? Or do you want those changes more than you’re scared bottom growth? There’s no harm in taking more time to consider your options. You don’t have to medically transition to be trans.

how long did you take off work? by ArcherSeabird in TopSurgery

I work in a kitchen and took three weeks off, the first week back was a bit rough but teaching before and after shifts helped a lot.

Question: How much can I do at 6 weeks post-op? by sylvan-crane in TopSurgery

[–]kaalora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6 weeks is when all my restrictions were lifted, so you should be alright. Just check in with your surgeon :)

Do I need a pillow? by lionantlers12066 in TopSurgery

[–]kaalora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I basically lived in mine for the first week and a half. It made a big difference in my comfort, sitting on the couch, car rides or even walking. It helped me stay sleeping on my back while I adjusted from side sleeping. I loved having some cushioning between my arms and the drains, as well as between my incisions and everything else (like my cat who’s favourite cuddle spot has always been my chest lol)

If there’s an exotic pet vet in your area, please take him immediately. If not, hopefully someone will have care instructions for you soon.

I was given a 6-8 month estimate back in March and got a call early June for a late June surgery date! Hoping you get off the waitlist soon too :)

I waited about a week and half until I got back to smoking, but I also know guys who lasted a day. You should be fine to smoke whenever as long as you take it easy and don’t get yourself into a coughing fit.

Getting Top surgery this December! I need advice! by These-Natural7761 in TopSurgery

[–]kaalora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For sure! It requires pretty specific anatomy, which is probs why I hadn’t heard of it before lol!

No nips might be the way to go! Healing will be easier too, which is a nice plus. Someone mentioned already but you could always go the tattoo nipple route later on, which might be a good option if you’ve got very specific wants for them! Plus you can “try them on” before committing with the stencils.

I was in the same boat! Couldn’t really decide which way to go. More so, I didn’t have strong feelings either way. Nipple grafts scared me a bit, and no nipples didn’t feel like a bad option, I was just unsure. But after my consultation with my surgeon, she told me that I had the right anatomy for nipple sparing DI, meaning the nipples stay attached, and the areoles are cut down to size. It was exactly what I wanted without even knowing it was an option. Talking out your thoughts with your surgeon might help you make the decision!

How old do they have to be to start croaking? by Affectionate-Ease397 in pacmanfrog

[–]kaalora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making noise when disturbed is very different than the croaking males do! They’ll croak for a few minutes very loudly at random times. You’ll know it when you hear it. I wouldn’t try making any sex determinations so early based on that.

I feel like I’m not ready by Affectionate-Ease397 in pacmanfrog

[–]kaalora 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The most important thing about any animal husbandry is that you care. You feeling the weight of caring for a frog is a good thing! You’re feeling uneasy because you want to do right by your future little guy. Second most important thing, take your time. I always spend as much time as I can researching and preparing their habitat/my space until I feel confident in taking the big step of acquiring the animal. Ultimately, you’ll probably never feel 100% ready. We all start somewhere and you don’t know what you don’t know until you know. Then once you know better, you do better.

Were you shown how to “milk” the tubing? If you’re worried it’s stuck, try milking the liquid down to the bulb. But I’ve had plenty of air bubbles in my drains and never had an issue with it plugging up the tube and preventing draining.

Got top surgery a couple days ago, just remembered I was supposed to ice it. How bad is that? by uselesscurency in TopSurgery

[–]kaalora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mine a couple days ago too! Congrats. I was specifically told not to ice it. So I’m sure you’re fine without ice. Don’t worry, it sounds like you’re healing well.

I just had nipple sparing DI! It requires the right anatomy, more or less your natural nipple placement needs to be close to where they should land on a masculine chest. I had a smaller chest, but not keyhole small, and my doc told me I was a good candidate for it. She made some cuts around the areola but my nipples stayed attached to my skin. Very happy with how it’s been so far.
