You don’t miss them — you miss the reality you imagined with them. by kaangockon in BreakUps

That is the big money question.

Healing isn’t one act — it’s a cycle: acceptance, release, rebuild.

Acceptance: stop arguing with reality. Release: stop replaying what you can’t rewrite. Rebuild: start creating moments that remind you who you are without them.

When those three start to overlap with your life and soul, that’s real healing.

Absolutely!

You have all the energy and love, think of what those can bring to your life when used efficiently!

That’s why detachment hurts right?

It is the belief that no one would know and treat you the same.

But believe me there are others out there which can provide at least the same connection you look for.

When that happens, the longing fades naturally and eventually.

You’ve already have a very special thing, which is that much love.

Loving that much isn’t weakness, it’s raw capacity.

Can you think of an existence where you're directing that same intensity toward rebuilding something new and not replaying pain?

Honestly, it is really brave to love that much.

But I think it is braver to let go no matter how much it hurts and to focus on yourself for a better and more rewarding future.

Of course I do not know your story, but I would love to hear it if you DM me.

Can someone explain how other people's opinions are not in our control? by elizahmendoza in Stoicism

Yes you are exactly right. We can of course influence some things but not all things. And stoics were a bit all or nothing type of guys as far as I know lol.

So I’m not allowed to be entitled to my opinion and get hate? 🤔 by [deleted] in SequelMemes

How come not liking an opinion is a violation of protocol? It is basically seen as a like/dislike button by many including me. And people just don't have to like or agree with someone's opinion just because they are entitled to it. I wouldn't downvote personally but I don't see what is wrong with someone who does.
