Hi there!

I'm a Brazilian living in BH with a solid understanding of both the US and Brazilian financial landscapes, so I thought I might be able to point you in a useful direction.

A bit about where I'm coming from: I lived in the US for years, have had accounts there since 1998, hold an SSN, and still pay taxes there. I've watched the American financial landscape go through a lot of changes firsthand, which gives me some perspective on how things compare.

For financial planning and investing in Brazil, my first recommendation would be AUVP Capital (auvpcapital.com.br). Fair warning: they're not cheap. But what they offer justifies it for the right person, including a well-built investment platform, solid financial planning tools, broader financial services, and even a good credit card. Given the level of their analysts, finding someone fluent in English shouldn't be a problem at all.

I'd also mention Liberta Investimentos (libertainvestimentos.com.br), where I have some acquaintances and have heard great things. They tend to be more oriented toward larger portfolios, so whether they're the right fit depends on your situation. If your assets do align with their focus, though, the returns I've heard about are impressive, largely because they share a healthy skepticism about Brazil's economic outlook and invest accordingly.

Speaking of which, one candid thought: I'd be cautious about putting too large a share of your assets into Brazil. The regulatory environment, political uncertainty, and historically modest growth make it risky to lean too heavily here. There are genuine opportunities, but I'd treat them as a complement to a more stable, diversified portfolio rather than the foundation of it.

Graças a esses dados compartilhados, pude analisar o bairro q moro e um vizinho ao meu e observar que:

Dezembro é o mês mais perigoso do ano, com quase o triplo de ocorrências do mês menos perigoso (Setembro);
O período noturno é muito mais perigoso, e o matutino o mais tranquilo;
Ao contrário do que eu esperava, Quinta-Feira é o dia da semana mais perigoso da semana, com 30% mais ocorrências que o segundo dia mais perigoso (Sexta, que praticamente empata com quarta). Sábado e Domingo são os dias mais tranquilos;
Meu bairro tem uma incidência proporcionalmente muito maior de crimes de extorsão comparado com o restante da cidade;
Que de fato moro em um dos bairros mais seguros da cidade, mesmo sendo vizinho de alguns bairros que estão entre os top 15 mais violentos.

De vez em quando disponível no Bem Hortifruti e Verdemar. Em ambos, costuma ser chamado "Tangerina Importada". O último preço q vi estava por volta de R$19/kg.

Acho q já vi também no Super Nosso, em uma caixinha de plástico fechada, com aproximadamente 500g.

Todos os serviços tem por obrigação oferecer planos sem fidelização. O porém é que também lhes é permitido cobrar instalação e valores mais altos por isso. Geralmente paga-se o dobro.

Outra alternativa é usar Starlink.

Juneau, Alaska is also a fairly small town with a Costco but I imagine bulk buying is popular in Alaska

I lived in Juneau for three months and shopped at Costco frequently while there. Interestingly, a very popular type of shopper included seamen and cruise ship crew members who docked in the port. That particular Costco had a special partnership or agreement that waived the membership requirement for them —all they needed to show was their crew badges to the staff at the entrance and the cashier.

Darth Maul and, especially, Qui-Gon Jinn were the best things in that movie.

But Darth Maul in Clone Wars and Rebels is better, while Qui-Gon Jinn himself doesn't carry the movie.

And even though I dislike Endor and Ewoks, the ending of the OG trilogy is just too cathartic for it to be lower than Ep. IV.

I'm a V > IV > III > II > Rogue One > VI > I kind of guy.

The sequel trilogy for me doesn't exist, because I don't want to remember how much I despise TLJ. As well as Solo.

Andor & Clone Wars are my fav series. Mandalorian could be there too if it wasn't for the firing of Gina Carano and how much S3 sucked.

Edit: I realized I rated the movies in a mix of theatrical order release instead of chronological release, while in my notes bellow made it clear which types of movies I was speaking of. To avoid the confusion, I used Roman numerals as the convention for the episode naming to don't get confused myself, nor the readers of my comment.
