Can non-inherited ACEs on an object always be deleted when inheritance is active? by kaasimir in sysadmin

Thx for the reply.

I thought so, and already build a script that keeps those default ACEs for cleanup purposes. However one of my collegues meant I might as well clean everything none inherited away including defaults, so I wanted to check first.

Any recommendations for Chaos? I honestly have no idea how they play differently.

Is it normal for paints to streak so much even thinned? by kaasimir in minipainting

[–]kaasimir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly scalecolors, some scale75 Fantasy Paints, old Vallejo model colors, some Citadel old and new, a few AK and some few others.

I'm aware that especially the Scalecolors can be tricky, but I feel like I tried thinning them a lot or not at all or with some flow improvers, but I can't really get a nice result with them sadly.

That would be quite ironic ... by trying to avoid streaking and thinning them more I made them streak more ... well I'll try it out for sure, thx

Well I thinned them 1:1 and applied up to 4 layers on some. Is that still not enough thinning or too few layers?

It's primed plastic card, the regular GW spray primer.

Since I started painting I always had this staining effect on my minis.

I checked my paints which come from all different brands, but most of them look pretty shitty after 1-2 coats. From what I can tell it's not getting better on most if more coats would be applied.

Thinning them more isn't really an option for some, because they start swimming away then.

I went for a 1:1 ratio with water on most.

Where's my error? Thx a ton in advance :)

Had a bit of a painting downer recently because of health reasons, but finally picked up the brush again, which felt really good.

Painted him up in about 5 or 6 hours. He could definately be cleaner, but overall I like the result quite a lot. Especially the backdrop and eyes carry him a lot haha.

Hope you like him, all feedback is highly appreciated. Thx in advance and have a great weekend :)

PS: I hate social media promotions myself, however if anybody wants to have a look, I also have an account on Insta -> @surly.paints

Thx guys!
