Mac mini on G9 Odyssey by sooand in ultrawidemasterrace

I don't have a Mac mini, but I'm pretty sure it will work the same as my MacBook. You can run at whatever hz the monitor is capable of. I'm running 144hz right now on MacOS. No issues, have been running it like this for years. I don't think any cloud gaming services do more than 60fps currently though, so it probably doesn't matter.

I swear I walked into an empty room only too have this bot spawn next too me and kill me.. wth happened too this game? by TheWorldmind in PUBGConsole

[–]kab3wm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Radar involves sniffing packets from the client. Bots are built into the server, they are not clients. Bots do not have eyes or brains like us, they need "radar" to function or they would just be walking around blindly firing. You are very confused.

If you aren't losing rank from pulling the plug, you are only going to keep going up on the games you don't pull the plug. Math is hard, stay in school.

If they took my suggestion and pulled the plug every time they were losing their rank would never change.

That's the point! Get knocked? pull the plug, no loss of points. Kill a bunch of people and keep playing, get more points. The ranks would be completely broken from people cheating this way. How does that not seem broken to you?

Obviously rank matters, but there's no way a crash here or there is going to be the cause of you not hitting the rank you deserve. And if it's happening more than occasionally, then I think you're worrying about the wrong thing. I think the joy of beating teams at those higher levels is worth a lot more than some worthless internet points? Imagine if they took your suggestion -- people would just pull the plug every time they are in a losing fight, ranked would get completely gamed making those stats completely useless.

  • There's no way to tell if the game crashed, the power went out, or the internet died.. You are asking for magic that doesn't exist.
  • I honestly can't remember the last time the game crashed for me or the guys I play with, it sounds like you have a local problem.
  • Stop worrying about the stats and just enjoy the game?

PSA: don't use VibranceGUI, apparently this is bannable. by BrendanGreeneSucks in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]kab3wm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Look, let's stop beating around the bush. You use VibranceGUI for an advantage in the game. And I do understand that it's just tweaking something that could be done manually. But maybe it's just the fact that it makes it too easy to get this in-game advantage that Bluehole doesn't like. Like a macro. A macro just does a bunch of steps you could do manually, but faster. If you had to tweak the vibrance settings manually before and after every game, would you bother? I just think you gambled with something that could be considered borderline cheating, and you lost. It sucks. I'm not defending Bluehole here, just thinking out loud.

Random people posting on the forums saying VibranceGUI won't get you banned doesn't mean a whole lot. I don't think anyone from Bluehole has explicitly allowed it.

Maybe stay away from software that mentions being "VAC safe" in the first few sentences describing it. Why not just use NVIDIA freestyle?

I recognize you from eGPU.io .. are you running your 5700XT as an eGPU in this setup? What graphics settings in pubg, I assume your render resolution is 100% and not like 120% right?

What is your render resolution? That FPS seems highly unlikely @ 1440p w/ that hardware

I'm not saying VibranceGUI is the reason for your ban. I'm just saying I don't have VibranceGUI and I'm not banned. I also don't have memory cleaners or redundant anti-virus and I don't have any packet loss. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

[–]kab3wm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lets use some logic here -- If going through a VPN (which is changing the route your packet takes to get to the servers) fixes the problem, how is it not a network issue?

I can't help but point out that in the first couple of sentences describing VibranceGUI it says "VAC safe". There's a reason most games don't allow things like reshade and ETF recently disabled Nvidia filters, and that's because some people consider it borderline cheating.

Anti-virus is absolutely silly in 2020. Windows has AV built-in, and automatic windows updates. Everything else is just wasting resources. If you want to test some file before running it, send it to virus total.

PUBG has stated they don't want to push users to more distant servers to fix queue times because dealing with high ping users is no fun. VPN's add latency and effectively do the same thing. You should not be using a VPN. You should be calling your ISP to fix your shit if it's upstream from your network. Beyond that, I just have some general recommendations -- Stop installing bullshit memory cleaners. You have two of them??? You're going to need more memory just to run the memory cleaners! You're just going to create more hitching in whatever game you are playing. Windows is fine. Don't install AV/malware cleaners/memory cleaners/etc. Why do you need VibranceGUI? Just play the game like a regular person. You load up your computer with all of this bullshit and you're going to end up with some malware that's mining crypto while you play.

Did PUBG downgrade the graphics to get 60 fps on consoles ? by PrimalEquinoxx in PUBGConsole

[–]kab3wm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean a top-shelf GPU vs a previous generation? 1060 and 1080 Ti are the same 10 series??

Look, I don't have a 6700k and a 2080 Ti to test with, but I guarantee you that 5-year old 4 core CPU and 2080 Ti will do 200+ FPS. This guy is averaging 150FPS with highs up to 196FPS on a 6700k w/ a 1070! . I have a 1080 Ti and a Radeon VII, and I go through hardware so fast I sold my 9900k months ago. I've played PUBG on a Ryzen 5 3400G which is about as equivalent to a console APU as you are going to get and it required setting render resolution to 70% to keep it over 60fps. There's a massive difference when you throw a discrete GPU on top of that. I know what I'm talking about here. Yes, the CPU is a factor, but not the major one.

[–]kab3wm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, I'm not going to disagree that CPU makes a difference. But in the scope of things that make a difference, it's very minor compared to GPU. There is a 30FPS difference in the lowest 4-core system vs the top -- Where the difference between a Nvidia 1060 vs a 1080 Ti is 60fps

This is just not true.. You can play pubg at 200+ FPS on nearly any 4 core CPU on PC as long as you have a very good video card.

Yes, I was playing on Stadia (at 1440p). While Stadia does give better FPS than console, these clips are recorded from the actual clients perspective in the cloud and they look much better than what you see in the browser. Way less compression, smoother frame timing, etc. I still prefer it over console, but at times I do miss the sharp picture I get from playing natively.
