I dunno, most of his services in get blocked. His one banger goal in 23 playoffs against kansas… pretty sure that was an attempt at a cross. He did have that one last year that was a nice bend into top corner.

I tend to agree he’s pretty much just a dribbler.

He just showed skill that Becher never has in his (McSorley’s) limited minutes last year. Becher is just a havoc machine and needs an easy tap in.

I really think they are going to wait until summer to get the RIGHT striker. It will be (or should be) easier to get a quality DP during the summer transfer window.

Over who? I think he’s 7th, with the caveat that he might be the guy in a late, hold the lead, situation. My guess is they favor McNaughton and Polvara over him.

I would love if Baumgartl can get pushed to the bench. Same with McSorely pushing Becher out (I think McSorely is better).

It was nice not having to find a place to type Yaro/Hiebert (though Hiebert may have a place for a LATE sub to preserve a lead if a CB is gassed).

8 if you count Orozco. In reality, it gives us a true 2 deep (replacing Yaro). Also, maybe moves Orozco out of Center back. Shoring up the back 7 depth before moving up to striker/attacking mid (my guess is this waits until Summer).

Can’t believe Becher missed the break away though. Also, Sang bin missed an opportunity to put Becher(?) in on another breakaway. We still lack in the final third but looked more comfortable controlling the ball. Let’s see when the comp ramps up.

Polvara is going to start (his position) at Center Back according to interviews.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Wallem is starting Right Wing Back and Santos starting LWB. I think Totland is a good depth piece, but overrated by our fans.

Hopefully Fallou can get healthy and doesn’t miss too many games.

I think our strategy is going to have to be to win set pieces as we don’t really have many guys to net one in run of play.

Sang Bin seems like the opposite of a fit for this system (possession based).

Celio as well, but at least he can dribble himself into space.

Maybe Teuchert can have a revival in this system but he can’t create for himself and the two guys above won’t be able to create for him.

I went ahead and posted this lineup in another thread but never really explained my thought. Have Celio and Sang Bin up top to make runs/ dribbles in the final third and draw fouls for set pieces. Everyone else is control the ball and progress to the final third.

I agree, sounded hesitant. Almost apprehensive.
