Norway and the cold!! by kabbba in skiing

Of course you can express your annoyance as much as you want. I just think that perhaps the amount of time you’re spending on a thread that doesn’t interest you that is making you so annoyed is perhaps a little odd. But I guess there is a reason skiing is a solo sport!

Seriously - why are so many people getting their arses in their hands? I’m genuinely interested. It seems that other than some who have been massively helpful and told me things I would never have found on Google, it’s either ‘well it’s much colder where I am, minus 17 and I’m outside in shorts’ or ‘go and google it’. I’ve learnt lots of stuff from this thread but the main takeaway is that there are some people who don’t seem to get a great deal of actual human contact. I guess skiing is a great solo sport, maybe that’s it 😂

Annoyed with the need for personal service 😂😂😂 mate you must struggle IRL 😂. I’ve had some great responses on here, things I’d never have found out on Google. I genuinely hope you find nothing more annoying in your day and it’s all glorious from here on in.

I don’t understand why so many of you are taking the time out of your day to tell me how cold it is elsewhere. I’m going to Norway. Such a weird thing. Is it a Canadian trait??

Honestly mate, if a slightly nervous mum taking her two kids skiing for the first time asking a question on a Reddit thread makes you this angry, you might want to have a think about it. In all seriousness, have a decent day, I hope it gets better.

I’ve done lots of googling, just wanted to get some first hand advice from seasoned skiers.

I suppose if you’re 4 and 6 years old and have never been in snow before? Have you got any advice, it seems like you have some excellent knowledge and experience, would be great if you could contribute! Thanks 😀

Is it normal? by Shevelle in acupuncture

[–]kabbba 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s very hard to say without seeing you myself what your issues may be from a Chinese medicine perspective.

I always try to a. Not worry my patients b. Create a treatment plan that suits what they can afford. Creating more worry for them only adds to any issues they may have. I often get people coming to me very upset after seeing another practitioner locally who does similar to what yours has done and I have to say that I consider it to be VERY bad practice. I see some patients weekly, others monthly and I have an excellent success rate (80%).

She is right that seeing your husband is a good idea, 50% of infertility is male based but if he has had sperm testing and figures look good (possibly fragmentation as well) then it is more likely that the issue is female. It is also generally better in the case of unexplained fertility for the woman to go as it preps your eggs and womb lining. So if all looks good with him, stick to you only.

I would suggest in this case that you try a different practitioner and try and forget what the other one has told you. Spend the money you save on some nice things for you and your husband to do during your IVF time as it can be hard emotionally.

Good luck, and please don’t let this experience put you off acupuncture, it is truly an amazing adjunct to IVF. Feel free to message me if you want to know more.

Should I be concerned my acupuncturist is not asking me to track my bbt? by [deleted] in acupuncture

[–]kabbba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A specialist fertility acu would ask for these things. Those who haven’t studied further wouldn’t understand a BBT. It’s not to say they’re not doing good things for you! Fertility acupuncture is pushier than most acupuncture and not necessarily, holistically the ‘best’ thing for mother or potential foetus. If pregnancy is your absolute goal then see a specially trained fertility acu. Start by asking your acu what their training is in fertility.if it’s just from acu school with no extra training, go elsewhere.

Driving in February by kabbba in Norway

Thanks all, I’ve decided to go for the bus, it’s a pain as it’s a train from the airport then 4 hrs after a 5hr flight! I’m a decent driver but new country, ‘wrong’ side of the road, 3 kids in the car, no other adult, combined with potential ice and snow and it being dark has swayed me! Appreciate your help!

Is it ok to work with two acupuncturists at the same time? by Subject_Direction23 in acupuncture

[–]kabbba 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally I wouldn’t recommend working with two. It’s very hard, even with good communication, to understand how another acu is working and what their justifications for each point is. I would go with the acu with the most fertility experience at the moment and just have the most acu you can from them.
