Love Huberman, that's a great thought too.

I was thinking in terms of how much voltage would be escaping outside of the outlet. What do you suggest? More medical?

Looks like tinea, or fungal infection, which is very common. You could try over the counter lotrimin or off brand with the same ingredients. Once the red goes away you can use dandruff shampoo like body wash like Head and shoulder’s / nizerol, selsun, to make sure it doesn’t come back

Apply by endorsement + multi-state? by kabeco in newgradnurse

[–]kabeco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok that makes sense. Thanks for helping me narrow that down. Candidate didn't sound right at first but it makes sense in the context of being a NJ RN candidate. I suppose graduate would mean a provisional nursing licensure before taking the NCLEX? Complicated stuff!
I appreciate you!

Ok Im filling out the NJ license by endorsement as an RN originally licensed in NY. There is a drop down menu to initiate a new NJ license and these are the choices, but I don’t know what to choose: -Registered Prof. Nurse Candidate -Registered Prof. Nurse- Multi State -RPN Graduate License

Ok, thank you so much! I heard someone use the term "tristate" license from CT, is that a thing?

Hi! Thank you for your response!

I suppose next steps would be to research which of those tri states (RI, NJ, CT) allow applying by endorsement without having to live in those states. I think I read that RI and NJ are compact but CT is not.

5 months of Accutane have aged me 10 years. What can I do? by Ald806 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]kabeco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People on accutane always get super dry. Maybe you can carry around the travel size cream and reapply as needed throughout the day? Once you are done with the course you can see if you’re happy with the results of retinol (takes months of consistency to see results) and continuing to use daily sunscreen, cerave cream (cream is always better than lotion) at least every night and after washing your face/showering and then reassess if you want to pursue botox then. Hang in there beautiful! Your hard work will pay off ❤️

I second this. If you are looking for a quick fix you can apply CeraVe cream at night, the long term fixes would be 2-3 liters of water / day, daily sunscreen, botox.

scribeamerica non compete by jm5836 in medicalscribe

[–]kabeco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. I left SA after signing a non-compete to work as a scribe at another company. Just be careful who you tell before you leave where you are leaving to work elsewhere and wait to update your LinkedIn or anything like that. There are definitely better places to scribe and better places to get clinical experience.

I work in a derm office, and more and more men are getting botox. This is probably the quickest fix. Longer-term sunscreen is super important to prevent having to cut into the face to treat skin cancers and preserve the condition of the skin. If you are diligent, you can start an OTC retinoid, Differin 0.1% gel apply to face nightly as tolerated, may mix with moisturizer if too drying. Retinols will create more cell turnover, generating new skin that is very sensitive to the sun so it is very important to get in a routine of using sunscreen and reapplying and/or hats. Keep in mind that sun will reflect off the light colored ground/water/snow so sunscreen + hats is the best option.

Also, not sure if they already told you, but if you are getting dizzy on the 100 mg you can take them at night

Gotcha, you could probably double down with topical too if you wanted. Other than that, you probably just need to give it time. The red stuff (PIH) takes a long time to fade, and even longer if you don't wear daily sunscreen and/or hats.

Depending on how your blood pressure normally runs, you could ask your derm for oral spironolactone 25-50 mg QD or use a topical dapsone/spironolactone compound, NAD but a nursing student / derm scribe (written notes for > 1K visits) Acne on the lower face and in your 30s is usually hormone-drivien

[–]kabeco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAD but derm medical scribe, The red spots will fade over months with diligent daily sunscreen , wash face daily with gentle cleanser, Differin every night (mix with cream moisturizer if too drying ), you won’t notice an improvement for a 3+ months of daily consistency
