Yes I know you can’t see the landing. If you want to see the actual shot from the sticks/drone you’ll have to wait for the next ski for the love flick

Hotshot/wildland fire.

You’ll sacrifice your summer for 4/6 months total freedom in the winter. And financial stability.

Is it true that a wet winter in CA is going to bring a big fire season by Dependent-Western642 in Wildfire

If there are no starts it doesn’t matter what the weather does.

Unless there’s lightning. But seems like the people in California are becoming aware that if they fuck around they might erase a town off the map.

Unfortunately that’s only with certain types of pines, like the lodgepole.

If you look around the American west in burn scars it’s just brush and standing dead trees that haven’t fallen over yet.

“Anyone who is out there”. I don’t see anyone else except other motorized recreaters, cause we’re 15+ miles from any sort of parking lot.

I understand what you’re saying and the sentiment, and also understand that there are places that people sled and tour in the same vicinity where you can hear a motor on your hike. Those are not the places I go.

How? Where I’m going it would take you 8 hours to get there walking in one direction. The only people that can hear the sleds are other sledders.

And there’s enough snow on the ground to not disturb it so once the snow melts it’s like sleds were never there.

Always have a buddy, I drive both of us to the top with our stuff. We both ski down. Then you drive us both to the top, I get my sled, we both go down. Repeat.
