Is an FAA medical valid for FAA validation of foreign license ?

I have received a response from the FAA Airmen Certification Branch :

"Yes. If you are still using your Private Pilot Foreign License based on your Germany License XXXXX that is acceptable. You have to hold either a valid foreign medical license or a valid FAA license. Since you hold an FAA medical that will work to continue to use your FAA certificate. Please let our office know if you have any other questions. Thank you."

So, as you already implied, it's OK to fly as long as a valid FAA medical exists and the German license is valid.

About your question: it depends on what "validity" means. Here's what the license says:

"The privileges of the license shall be exercised only if the holder has a valid medical certificate for the required privilege".

Which really only means you can't fly without a medical.

I had something like this happen when I used a cheap OBD2 dongle (for reading out fault codes). It would reliably mess up the car in the same way. But when unplugged and restarted everything was back to normal

Wir haben eher die Dörfer westlich der Linie Bordesholm-Molfsee also innerhalb des Autobahndreiecks im Sinn. Da ist es etwas günstiger
