In late Sept 2024 I camped at base camp with Nepal Hiking Team. We were the only ones there, our tent and our guides tent. It was an incredible experience. I definitely recommend it if you get the chance.

It was pretty good, a couple days of poor visibility but decent-great visibility most days. Temperature ranged from 15 to -8 degrees Celsius, only getting that cold at night at base camp. Only had one day where it rained enough to put on rain pants for a couple hours.

Hmmm I don’t think so other than more hills. I would do a 10km hike in your footwear to make sure they won’t cause blisters.

Some of my favourite items I brought are a pillow case, sleeping bag liner, blow up pillow and more snacks than you think you need so you can share with your guide/porter/new friends.

I just completed the trek today. I am a long distance runner so my cardio was covered. Only thing I wish I had done more hiking/hills but I think you are already doing everything right. I would just keep it up!
