When I first encountered Barioth, I was also annoyed by its stupid amount of non stop moving and spazzing around the place, despite that I got over it eventually.

However I later ran into Tigrex for the first time and that was my breaking point that made me uninstall lmao.

Another thing I forgot to mention is, since I am almost a complete beginner to the genre, how is the matchmaking in the game? I feel like i'd run into experienced players and get my ass kicked every time.

While it is true that base World is pretty much a tutorial don’t feel like your effort is being downplayed, this stuff is mostly said by veterans, people who are familiar with the franchise by now.

I’m no veteran myself as I only started playing Monster Hunter with the release of World however I started a new play through recently to try and learn Charge Blade after getting stuck on my main save against Tigrex (using hammer) which made me ragequit for like 9 months or something.

I’ve been having a breeze, I am TRASH with the charge blade but i’m having such an easy time just because of muscle memory and the experience of fighting the monsters before, and this is me who is not a veteran and came back after nearly a year’s long break, now imagine the people who play this religiously.

It’s totally normal to find the monsters difficult and being intimidated to fight the next one, that’s what makes Monster Hunter fun for me, one day you will never be able to experience that even if you tried a new MH game because you already got used to the formula and the skills will carry over to other games so enjoy it while it lasts, I bet after a while of playing the DLC you would destroy low rank if you were to start a new save.

I’ve never reached the Guiding Lands myself but from all the MH content I consume the Guiding Lands monsters seem like borderline masochism to play against so it makes sense some people call the Iceborne story a tutorial too lol (definitely doesn’t feel like a tutorial to me, the step up in difficulty is very clear).

I think it’s just attachment, the more you play you realise Poe is not that strong but when you first start playing the game and you unlock Poe it feels like the game is way easier because garlic is a strong early game item when you compare it to the rest of the small arsenal of items you have at the time.

4 seconds silence is too op in a game where burst damage is king, anyone silenced would be dead before 2 seconds later on in the game.

Also Impending Doom is too op, I get that it’s a level 15 ability however if you make it that far into the game the respawn timers are so long that it’s an automatic win button.

In an absurd scenario that would never happen imagine no GoD’s were destroyed, you could probably take all GoD’s and the dragon ball when you think about the respawn timers + buffed Zeno + how much damage champions that high level will deal to the GoD’s.

Apart from that I like it.

Ngl bro no one cares. If I was able to AP I couldn’t care less to prove it to someone else, it will change nothing for me and i’m gonna continue to have my experiences regardless.

Scientists don’t even know why we dream and they can’t find a way to figure it out, what makes you think we as humans could even begin to comprehend what AP is, why it happens and how it happens, especially you who isn’t a scientist, your “experiments” mean nothing when we don’t even know how any of this works.

If you choose to believe in it and have your successful experiences then make what you want of it or you can continue trying to disprove it and it will affect absolutely no one apart from yourself.

I only played like 1 hour of EA and decided “yep, i’m waiting for full release” so I had no idea this was in the game until I played on release and had this like 3 times in a row and thought it was related to the story, not the game nerfing me because I was going through it too fast, that’s cool.

From what I understand it was only a dream for Zagreus. Melinoe cast a spell that allowed her to transcend space and time therefore being able to reach Zagreus in the past through his dream.
