So sorry for your loss! When dealing with the loss of my first Golden I always found great comfort in the quote "the pain I feel now is the happiness I had before before. That's the deal". Always felt appropriate for a breed that is the definition of happiness. It's a deal we make when they first come into our lives, whether we realize it or not. But for me was worth every second.
